In 2010, he resigned from his legal career and came to China to pursue a Master's degree in Public Administration at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He said he wants to see with his own eyes why China is developing so fast and what he can learn.

In 2013, Renato graduated with a master's degree and assisted Huazhong University of Science and Technology in preparing a teaching team for Chinese language at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. One year later, he stayed at Huazhong University of Science and Technology to pursue a doctoral degree and began working in educational research and consulting in Wuhan. Although he has been to many parts of the world, Wuhan, a city known as the "thoroughfare of nine provinces," is still his favorite place.
Renato: "Wuhan is my life. I have been here for 13 years and I have become accustomed to it. I think living here is really convenient and a great place. There are people from all over here, including Westerners, northerners, southerners, the Yangtze River, and the East Lake. I tell others that if you want to get to know China, you should come to Wuhan. Wuhan has many universities and is a city suitable for young people, and there are many trains and high-speed trains in Wuhan."

Renato said that Wuhan gave him a feeling of home. Now, he can even speak a few non-standard Wuhan dialects: "For example, 'What are you doing?' We speak more Wuhan dialect here, so I can understand a bit. 'What are you doing?' means' what are you doing? '"
When I first came to study in Wuhan, Renato often saw a slogan that read, "Wuhan is different every day.". He said that this is also true, whether it is Wuhan as a city or the whole of China, he has witnessed the rapid changes on the land of China over the past decade.
Renato: "At that time, there was really a lot of pollution. Now when you go to various parts of China, the sky is very blue, and it has really become very good, and it is getting better and better. Now, China's technology has also made a lot of progress."
During his study abroad, Renato noticed that high-tech companies in China have sprung up like mushrooms after rain, and the demand for high-tech and international talents is increasing day by day across the country. In 2013, he began to explore entrepreneurship in the field of international education. After graduating with a PhD, Renato and his partners expanded their business to Xi'an, Shanghai, and other places based in Wuhan, and also established branches in Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
Renato: "Chinese young people are really enterprising, dedicated, and eager to learn, and their families also support their children's learning. When young people study abroad, they bring back many new ideas and technologies. I really admire the young people in China, they are really amazing."
Renato said that China's level of modernization is increasing, and there are many development experiences worth learning from in other countries around the world. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between China and Brazil. China and Brazil are both important emerging market countries and developing countries, as well as important economic and trade partners. Renato has full expectations for future cooperation between Brazil and China.
