Shanghai, July 27th (Xinhua) - Li Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China and Premier of the State Council, conducted research on the construction of the Free Trade Zone in Shanghai from July 26th to 27th.
Li Qiang arrived at the Lingang Center, overlooking the ongoing construction site and learning about the development and construction of the Lingang New Area. He emphasized the need to actively promote deeper and broader opening-up to the outside world, and strive to make greater progress in building an open functional platform, industrial ecology, and business environment. At Shanghai Lingang New Area Cross border Data Technology Co., Ltd., Li Qiang pointed out that cross-border data flow and management are issues of great concern to all parties. He hopes that enterprises can actively explore and accumulate practical experience for the country to improve relevant systems. At Lenz Transmission System Co., Ltd. and Volvo Construction Equipment Co., Ltd., Li Qiang gained a detailed understanding of the enterprise's promotion of intelligent manufacturing and remanufacturing. He stated that foreign enterprises and China's development have achieved mutual success, and we need to tell the story of foreign enterprises developing in China and attract more foreign enterprises to deeply cultivate the Chinese market. At Shanghai Hongming Supply Chain Co., Ltd., Li Qiang affirmed the innovative supply chain service practices of enterprises, hoping that regulatory authorities and relevant enterprises can work together to better support the stability of the industrial chain supply chain and the development of industrial clusters.
During the research, Li Qiang presided over a symposium.Over the past 10 years of construction, the pilot free trade zone has played a leading role in institutional innovation, created a vivid model of open development, promoted the in-depth implementation of major strategies, and played an important role in China's reform and opening up process.
Li Qiang emphasized that facing the future, the pilot free trade zone still shoulders a major mission. It is necessary to vigorously implement the strategy of upgrading the pilot free trade zone from a new starting point, form more leading and iconic institutional innovation achievements, create more high-energy open platforms, strengthen new modern industrial development momentum, and promote reform and development with high-level openness. The focus of "improvement" should be on aligning with high standard international economic and trade rules, promoting institutional openness, adhering to pilot projects first, focusing on achieving higher levels of freedom and convenience in goods trade, leading innovative development in service trade, deepening reform and opening up in key areas, exploring the construction of new models for cross-border data management, and aligning with "post border" rules. We must adhere to the linkage between the upper and lower levels, strengthen organizational implementation, advance in batches and in an orderly manner, improve work penetration, and form a strong joint force to promote the construction of free trade pilot zones.
