In the first half of the year, China's photovoltaic industry developed rapidly
CCTV News Client News: In the first half of this year, China's photovoltaic industry developed strongly, and all indicators showed a rapid growth trend.
The latest data shows that in the first half of this year, China's cumulative photovoltaic power generation reached 266.3 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of about 30%, and the newly installed power generation capacity was 78.42 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 154%, which is basically equivalent to the full year data of last year. As of the end of June, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation was about 470 million kilowatts, surpassing hydropower to become the second largest power source in China's installed capacity.
In terms of investment, in the first half of this year, China's completed investment in photovoltaic power generation exceeded 130 billion yuan, accounting for approximately 50% of all completed investments in renewable energy. In terms of exports, the total export value of photovoltaic products in China reached 28.92 billion US dollars in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%, effectively helping to improve and upgrade foreign trade.
In the first half of this year, all links of China's photovoltaic industry chain were growing rapidly, and the production of polycrystalline silicon, silicon wafers, batteries, and modules in China increased by over 65% year-on-year. At the same time, the intelligent and green level of photovoltaic equipment is constantly improving, further reducing costs and increasing efficiency, promoting industrial iteration and upgrading.
