Tianhan Wetland Park is located on both sides of the Hanzhong urban section of the Han River. In October of the same year, the National Wetland Protection Plan was issued, which proposed to achieve a wetland protection rate of 55% by 2025 and establish a new pattern of high-quality development of wetland protection by 2030. The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China also clearly proposes to "accelerate the implementation of major projects for the protection and restoration of important ecosystems" and "promote the recuperation and revitalization of grasslands, forests, rivers, lakes, and wetlands".
