As the Nine Bend Yellow River reaches the top of the "Several Character Bend", Bayannur is magnificent and displays the scenery of "the sky is vast, the wilderness is vast, and the wind blows the grass low to see cows and sheep" outside the Great Wall. When the lyrical Mongolian tune sounded on the horse's back, the fiery Sarilang spread to the horizon, rushing towards a promise of meeting in an Aobao.

Following in the footsteps of General Secretary, we have come together to the northern frontier of our motherland and entered the green legend hidden in mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes, grasses, and sands.

——"Ji", as a shape, is the geometric beauty created by nature.

The agility of water and the fertility of fields are the vibrant vitality bestowed upon Bayannur by the Yellow River's "few character bend".

The water is called Wuliangsuhai, which means "Hongliu Lake" in Mongolian. It was originally the ancient route of the Yellow River and is now the largest lake and wetland in the Yellow River Basin. Because of its existence, the eastward march of Tengger Desert, Ulanbuh Desert and Kubuqi Desert was blocked to the west of Baotou.

Tian is a Hetao irrigation area and one of the three super large irrigation areas in China. The Yellow River irrigation here began in the Qin and Han dynasties and has a history of over 2200 years. Nowadays, with the wings of technology inserted into agricultural modernization, the "granary outside the Great Wall" has made the "Chinese rice bowl" more abundant.

Shouldering the heavy responsibility of building an important ecological security barrier in northern China, Bayannur was once severely polluted, and over 80000 acres of yellow algae appeared in the Wuliangsu Sea, which lasted for nearly 5 months.

The lake is seriously ill, and the source of the problem points directly to the shore. Excessive cultivation, mining, and sewage discharge have led to the destruction of biodiversity and degradation of ecological functions in the watershed, making the "kidney of nature" a "ecological threat".

In this regard, the general secretary was concerned about the pollution prevention and control of "one lake and two seas" in Hulun Lake, Wuliangsuhai and Daihai many times.

When participating in the deliberations of the Inner Mongolia delegation at the National People's Congress and the National People's Congress, from the emphasis on "accelerating the comprehensive treatment of water ecology in Hulun Lake, Wuliangsuhai, Daihai and other lakes" in 2018 to the clarification of "comprehensive treatment is necessary for ecological protection and restoration" in 2019

Adhering to a systematic concept, collaborative efficiency enhancement, implementing comprehensive governance, systematic governance, and source governance, promoting the integrated protection and restoration of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes, grasslands, and sands... From protecting a lake to protecting the entire ecosystem, the current Wuliangsu Sea, with clear waters and lush waters and a hundred birds, has greatly improved the ecological environment.

The Yellow River bends in a few characters, and the green "Three North Emotions".

On the Three North Land, there is a "Green Great Wall" that stretches from Heilongjiang in the east to Xinjiang in the west, spanning 13 provinces and spanning 4480 kilometers from east to west, with a total area of 4.358 million square kilometers.

In 1978, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, based on the long-term plan for the survival and development of the Chinese nation, decided to build a protective forest system in the northwest, north China, and western northeast regions of China, which were severely affected by sandstorms and soil erosion. This marked the beginning of China's large-scale promotion of land greening and ecological governance and restoration.

For more than 40 years, the Three North Project has focused on sand prevention and control, using measures such as grass grid fixation, sand blocking and afforestation, and artificial afforestation to control flowing sand, block strong winds, and block wild sand. Tens of millions of acres of sandy land have been transformed into fertile fields, orchards, and pastures. The cumulative afforestation and preservation area of the Three North Project is 32 million hectares, and the forest coverage rate in the project area has increased from 5.05% in 1977 to 13.84%.

In November 2018, the General Secretary issued an important instruction to emphasize that the construction of the Three North Project is a major ecological project implemented together with my country's reform and opening up, and an important landmark project in the construction of ecological civilization.

The "Three North" shelter forest project has been established by the United Nations Environment Programme as the "ecological economy demonstration area" of the global desert, contributing "Chinese experience" and "Chinese program" to global ecological governance.

A green Great Wall, thousands of miles of ecological barriers, a persistent spirit, and generations of people continuing to struggle.

In the long practice of desertification prevention and control, the spirit of the Three North is like a lighthouse, illuminating the arduous struggle of generations of sand control workers. The staff of Babusha Forest Farm, the recipient of the "July 1st Medal", Shi Guangyin, and the forest ranger of Saihanba Mechanical Forest Farm... From "sand forcing people to retreat" to "people entering and retreating", with a pair of hands and a shovel of soil, every inch of green is hard won.

It is the responsibility of everyone on the loess ground to make the green Great Wall unbreakable. Consolidating and developing the green ecological barrier in northern Xinjiang of our country, the road is obstructed and long, and the path is approaching.

Protecting the bend of the Yellow River is also protecting the flowing Chinese cultural heritage.

Coming from the dark yellow of heaven and earth, the Yellow River nurtured the descendants of Yan and Huang. From the primitive society of slash and burn cultivation, to the agricultural civilization of "transportation on the fields, heard by chickens and dogs", from He Zun's "residence in China" in the Western Zhou Dynasty, to the state of Qin's "books and texts are the same, cars are the same, quantities are the same, and actions are the same", from the Yellow River chorus at the foot of Baota Mountain, to the charging horn for crossing the Yellow River... The Yellow River is surging, and Chinese civilization has never ceased and passed down in one line.

As the mother rivers of the Chinese nation, the Yangtze River and Yellow River have suffered from severe illness due to excessive development. The Qinling Mountains between the two major water systems have also suffered serious ecological damage.

Ecological issues are not only cultural propositions, but also development challenges that must be addressed by national progress.

General Secretary Xi Jinping personally drew a river strategy represented by the Yangtze River and the Yellow River, and made important instructions six times to resolutely promote the rectification and resolution of the "Qinling illegal construction" ...... "What is the 'great man of the state?" in April 2020, at the first stop of Shaanxi's inspection, the general secretary profoundly pointed out in the Qinling Niubeiliang National Nature Reserve: "The construction of ecological civilization does not mean holding how much real money in your hands, but for history and for future generations. Do it."
