Enhancing the Gold Content of Growth through the Green Content of Development (People's Current Review) Maritime | China | Current Review
Green, circular, and low-carbon development is the direction of technological revolution and industrial transformation in today's era, and it is the most promising development field. China has considerable potential in this area and can form many new economic growth points
One revolution can generate 34.2 kilowatt hours of electricity! Not long ago, the world's first 16 megawatt ultra large capacity offshore wind turbine successfully connected to the grid for power generation at an offshore wind farm in Fujian. At present, the installed capacity of non fossil energy power generation in China accounts for over 50%, historically exceeding the installed capacity of fossil energy power generation, reflecting the solid pace of China's green and low-carbon development.
Green development is a high-quality and sustainable development that achieves maximum economic and social benefits with minimal resource and environmental costs. In the first half of this year, China's economic growth rate had a high value, which is reflected in the enhanced synergy between green transformation and economic growth. From environmental quality data, the overall air quality excellence rate in China remained at a high level in the first half of the year. In the national surface water assessment section, the proportion of water quality excellence sections increased by 2.1 percentage points compared to the same period last year; From the perspective of energy utilization efficiency, the energy consumption per unit of GDP in the first half of the year decreased by 0.4% year-on-year. The energy efficiency per unit of products such as steel, raw aluminum, and cement clinker is at the world's advanced level. The energy consumption per unit of 5G base stations has decreased by more than 20% compared to the initial commercial stage. Promoting green and low-carbon economic and social development is a key link in achieving high-quality development. The "green content" of development highlights the "golden content" of growth, indicating significant achievements in green transformation.
Green transformation is not only a powerful means of energy conservation, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement, but also endows industries with broader development space. Green, circular, and low-carbon development is the direction of technological revolution and industrial transformation in today's era, and it is the most promising development field. China has considerable potential in this area and can form many new economic growth points. In the first half of the year, led by the green transformation of the energy industry, the production of photovoltaic cells, wind turbines and other products increased by 54.5% and 48.1% year-on-year, respectively. The supply of green materials related to the industry increased, with the production of ultra white glass and polycrystalline silicon for solar energy industry increasing by 89.1% and 86.4% respectively. New energy vehicles set sail for the sea, and the production of related automotive lithium-ion power batteries, charging stations and other products increased by 46.4% and 53.1% year-on-year, respectively. The acceleration of green development has provided strong support for the sustained recovery and overall improvement of the national economy. Continuously shaping new driving forces and advantages for development, and continuously enhancing the potential and momentum of development, it is necessary to focus on building a green, low-carbon, and circular economy system, comprehensively improving the level of traditional industry greening, and enhancing the "gold content" of growth with the "green content" of development.
In Suzhou, Anhui, floating photovoltaic power stations have turned "wastewater" into a new carrier for power stations, achieving the "turning waste into treasure" in coal mining subsidence areas; In Lingwu, Ningxia, the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base continues to make efforts in technological innovation, achieving a transformation from "relying on coal to eat coal" to "turning coal into gold"... Looking at China, each case tells us that green production and lifestyle are accelerating, green products and green industries are developing well, and are becoming new growth points for economic development. We have no reason not to seize the new development opportunities brought by new momentum.
