The ecological environment is the foundation of human survival and development. How to achieve harmonious coexistence between humans and nature is a fundamental issue in the development of human civilization and a must answer question for countries in their pursuit of modernization.
We have successively issued development strategies, plans, systems, and mechanisms for ecological civilization construction, such as the "Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of Ecological Civilization" and the "Overall Plan for Ecological Civilization System Reform". Currently, there are more than 30 effective ecological environment protection laws, more than 100 administrative regulations, and more than 1000 local regulations, and a preliminary ecological environment protection legal system has been established. Over the past decade, the concept of "green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as gold and silver" has gradually become a consensus and action of the whole society, with bluer skies, greener earth, and clearer water. The average concentration of PM2.5 in key cities across the country has decreased by 57%, achieving ten consecutive decreases; Accumulated afforestation of over 1 billion mu; Last year, the proportion of high-quality surface water bodies in China reached 87.9%. The former wasteland - Xizang Yani National Wetland Park, is now rippling with blue waves and birds sweeping the Fangzhou; Yucun Village in Anji County, Zhejiang Province has long gone from being a "bald mountain" and "soy sauce water" place for the development of the "stone economy" to becoming a beautiful place with clear mountains and clear waters; A number of national parks, including Sanjiangyuan, Giant Panda, and Hainan Tropical Rainforest, have been officially established; The Saihanba Forest Farm in Hebei Province and the "Thousand Village Demonstration and Ten Thousand Village Renovation" Project in Zhejiang Province have successively won the highest honor of the United Nations environmental protection, the "Earth Guardian Award"... People can feel firsthand that ecological protection and public sharing complement each other while enjoying the beautiful scenery of various places, and a beautiful China stands out in front of them.
Ecological prosperity leads to civilized prosperity, and ecological decline leads to civilized decline. Ecological environment protection is a complex and systematic project that requires long-term and arduous efforts.
