In the first quarter of this year, China's automobile exports ranked first in the world. At the commemorative event held at the China FAW Red Flag Hall on the same day, Qiu Xiandong, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of FAW, sighed.
Independent innovation has become a key keyword for Chinese car companies. Wang Deping, Executive Vice President of FAW Research and Development Institute, said that in the past three years, we have broken through 494 key core technologies such as efficient high-speed electric drive, intelligent wire controlled chassis, and L3 level autonomous driving. "Our R&D personnel have grown from 2360 to over 4500, and the new car development cycle has been reduced from 48 months to 24 months."

According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, from January to June 2023, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China reached 3.788 million and 3.747 million respectively, with year-on-year growth of 42.4% and 44.1%.
