Chairman of the Polish Sports Federation: Looking forward to friendship and cooperation at the Chengdu Universiade Poland
Warsaw, July 25th (Xinhua) - Aloyzi Novak, President of the Polish University Sports Federation, recently stated that participating in the Chengdu Universiade, Polish athletes not only aim to win medals, but also look forward to enhancing friendship and cooperation with athletes from various countries and regions around the world.
"Firstly, this is a competition. We have the opportunity to win about 20 medals, and another goal is to enhance friendship and cooperation with university students from various countries and regions," Novak told reporters in Warsaw on the eve of leading the team to the Chengdu Universiade.
Novak highly praised the organizational work of the Chengdu Universiade. "Our cooperation with the organizing committee of the Universiade is excellent. I firmly believe that the Chengdu Universiade will be a complete success," he said.
Novak said that the 198 Polish athletes participating in this competition come from 70 universities and are widely representative, including students from sports universities, as well as students from comprehensive universities, polytechnics, normal universities, and other universities. They are generally between the ages of 20 and 23.
Novak also serves as the President of the University of Warsaw. He stated that this trip will also seek opportunities for academic exchange and cooperation between universities in Poland and China.
