Over the years, the "BRICS+" cooperation model has continuously deepened and expanded, becoming a model for emerging market countries and developing countries to engage in South South cooperation and achieve joint self-improvement.

Continuously expanding "circle of friends"

Emerging market countries and developing countries have contributed up to 80% of world economic growth in the past 20 years, and the global share of GDP has increased from 24% to over 40% in the past 40 years. The collective rise of emerging market countries and developing countries, represented by the BRICS countries, is fundamentally changing the world map.

In 2018, the 10th BRICS Leaders Meeting continued the Xiamen Meeting model, inviting representatives from developing countries, including other emerging markets and African countries, to participate in the "BRICS+" Leaders Dialogue, further expanding the BRICS "circle of friends";

In May 2022, as interested countries in the "BRICS+" cooperation model, officials and foreign ministers from Argentina, Egypt, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, and Thailand were invited for the first time to participate in the online meeting of BRICS foreign ministers;

Nowadays, more and more countries hope to open the door of the BRICS and participate in BRICS cooperation.

"The BRICS countries are an 'inclusive' organization that has always been willing to engage in dialogue with the broader international community." South Africa's BRICS affairs coordinator, Sukrar, said that over 40 countries have expressed their desire to join the BRICS cooperation mechanism, with more than 20 countries officially submitting applications to join.

A "big family" that stands by and helps each other

During this summit, leaders of BRICS countries will hold dialogue with leaders of African countries, other emerging markets, and developing countries.

The BRICS countries are not closed clubs or exclusive "small circles", but a big family of mutual assistance and good partners for win-win cooperation——

During the 2017 Xiamen Summit, the dialogue between emerging market countries and developing countries held by China sent a strong signal to deepen South South cooperation and global development cooperation.

In July 2018, the establishment of the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership was included in the Johannesburg Declaration of the 10th BRICS Leaders Meeting.

The Chinese side advocates the establishment of a new industrial revolution partnership among the BRICS countries, which is aimed not only at the BRICS countries but also at emerging market countries and developing countries. From scientific and technological innovation to cultural exchanges, and then to sustainable development, diverse "BRICS+" activities run through multiple fields, providing a new platform for development cooperation for emerging market countries and developing countries.

In the Mercedes Benz train, on wide roads, in bountiful farmland, in warm houses... People in developing countries have felt the tangible sense of gain brought by China's promotion of the "BRICS+" model.

In June 2022, during the 14th meeting of BRICS leaders, China held its first high-level dialogue on global development, inviting BRICS leaders to gather in the cloud with leaders from 13 other emerging market and developing countries to discuss global development plans and add new development highlights to BRICS cooperation.

"The 'BRICS+' cooperation model has created a new platform for more emerging market countries and developing countries to participate in the development of unity, cooperation, and mutual benefit, marking a new stage of BRICS cooperation," said former UAE Ambassador to China Zahiri.

Time is the proof, time is the name. The BRICS countries are not idle talk houses, but action teams that combine knowledge and action. The "BRICS+" cooperation is not about being alone, but about showcasing each other's beauty and sharing the same beauty.

A golden and brilliant "new future"

A large number of projects have been completed and handed over, including the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Fonjuni Bridge in Senegal, the Kenya Airport Expressway, and the Mombasa Nairobi Railway. The "BRICS+" cooperation has yielded fruitful results.

"No country is born to be dominant, and no model is destined to be superior." In the era of globalization, it should not be some people opposing others, but rather everyone benefiting everyone.

In 2018, at the dialogue and signing ceremony between BRICS leaders and the Business Council at the Johannesburg Declaration of the 10th BRICS Summit, there was a video link with the human cradle site. The camera is transmitted in real-time from the northwest of Johannesburg to the venue, where approximately half of the world's total human ancestor fossils have been discovered.

South African President Ramaphosa stated that he will seize the opportunities brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, achieve better development in the second "Golden Decade" of BRICS cooperation, and jointly move towards a brighter future for a community with a shared future for mankind.

"Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, and at the same time, China's position as the world's largest developing country has not changed. No matter how China develops in the future, it will always be a developing country and will firmly support the development of developing countries. We will continue to be committed to developing close partnerships with major countries."

China's development is an opportunity for the world, and the Chinese people open their arms to welcome people from all over the world to take the "fast train" and "free ride" of China's development.

People see that "exporting to China" has become a topic of discussion for more and more farmers and exporters. From Madagascar essential oils, Kenyan flowers, Zambian oil paintings and gemstones, to Ethiopian coffee and Zimbabwean wood carvings, to Southeast Asian fruits, precious crabs from North America, beef from South America, and dairy products from Australia... more and more overseas delicacies are flying across the sea into the homes of Chinese people.

The great road is not alone, and everyone's actions go far. "We need to expand 'BRICS+' cooperation within frameworks such as the United Nations and the G20, expand the common interests and development space of emerging market countries and developing countries, promote the construction of broad partnerships, and make greater contributions to world peace and development."
