In the first half of the year, China's foreign exchange market had strong resilience and cross-border capital flows remained active. At the end of June, the scale of China's foreign exchange reserves was 3193 billion US dollars, an increase of 65.3 billion US dollars from the end of 2022, and the scale of foreign exchange reserves was basically stable. Data shows that in the first half of the year, China's bank foreign exchange settlement and sales surplus was 1.8 billion US dollars, and the domestic foreign exchange market supply and demand were basically balanced.
Foreign investment in China's bond market is generally good

From the perspective of holder structure, overseas central banks are still the main foreign institutions investing in China's bond market. Meanwhile, overseas financial institutions are also very active in China's bond market. Data shows that as of the end of June 2023, more than 1100 institutions from over 60 countries have entered China's interbank bond market worldwide. China's bond market has become an important choice for overseas investors in their global investment layout.
The production and sales volume of new energy vehicles have reached historic highs

As of the end of June 2023, the total number of new energy vehicles in China exceeded 16.2 million. The production and sales volume, market share, and ownership of new energy vehicles have all reached historic highs.
Data shows that in the first half of 2023, China's automobile production and sales reached 13.248 million and 13.239 million respectively, with year-on-year growth of 9.3% and 9.8%, respectively. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 3.788 million and 3.747 million respectively, with year-on-year growth of 42.4% and 44.1%. From the perspective of market share, the proportion of new energy vehicle sales to total vehicle sales has reached 28.3%, an increase of 2.7 percentage points from 2022.
The number of participants in basic pension insurance has reached 1.057 billion

From January to June, the total income of the three social insurance funds was 3.91 trillion yuan, and the total expenditure was 3.37 trillion yuan.
