Where can I get on the bus? Do you need security checks?, Shanghai's first cross provincial customized service line will start trial operation today | Passenger | Shanghai
The transformation of Shanghai long-distance passenger stations has taken an important step forward. Today, the long-distance passenger terminal Shanghai Qidong customized service line started trial operation, which is also the first cross provincial customized service line in Shanghai with the qualification of inter provincial passenger service line.
The Shanghai Qidong customized route launched this time is a branded route of the long-distance passenger terminal. Hu Haisong, assistant to the Shanghai long-distance terminal station manager, told reporters that the biggest difference between the customized route and the previous inter provincial passenger transport route is that it is no longer a point-to-point mode and has added pick-up and drop off points midway. The route implements real name ticket sales and inspection. Passengers need to cooperate with the driver to conduct on-site security checks on their carry on luggage when boarding the train. After carrying valid identification documents, they should cooperate with the driver to conduct real name ticket inspection.
In addition to the main station, we have temporarily added 2 pick-up and drop off points in Shanghai. The locations may be adjusted based on operational conditions and passenger feedback. The No.1 pick-up spot is set at Wujiaochang Bus Station, running from west to east. The alighting location is also set at Wujiaochang Bus Station, from east to west; The second parking spot is set at the Xiangyin Road bus station, running from west to east; The disembarking location is also set at the Xiangyin Road bus stop, running from east to west. After arriving in Qidong, passengers can choose to disembark at "Qidong Chengdong Bus Station", "Qidong Ziwei Flower Garden", "Eaton Mansion Dropoff Point" or "Qidong Bus Terminal".
Customized buses operate 4 times a day, with the first bus departing at 6:50 PM at the main station, 7:08 PM at Wujiaochang Bus Station, and 7:15 PM at Xiangyin Road Bus Station; The second bus: Terminal 11:00, Wujiaochang Bus Station 11:18, Xiangyin Road Bus Station 11:25; The third bus: Terminal 12:30, Wujiaochang Bus Station 12:48, Xiangyin Road Bus Station 12:55; The fourth bus: Terminal 17:30, Wujiaochang Bus Station 17:48, Xiangyin Road Bus Station 17:55. Passengers with travel needs can search for the WeChat mini program "Shanghai Passenger Transport Terminal New Travel Customization Platform", select the route marked as "Customized Route" on the platform, and check the boarding location.
"Today is the first day of trial operation, and the knowledge of the customized route is not yet widespread. There are currently no passengers who have purchased tickets for the customized route, but the journey of transformation and exploration at the terminal will not stop." Hu Haisong reminded passengers in need that due to the impact of Shanghai's traffic conditions, vehicles at each boarding point of the customized route may arrive earlier or later. If a ticket is purchased, it is necessary to wait at the boarding point in advance. "If the operation of customized routes is affected due to special circumstances, we will inform passengers in advance. When the routes gradually mature, we will also research more accurate services, such as displaying vehicle information online in real-time like buses, so that passengers can have a clear understanding of waiting for the bus."
On June 26th of this year, the Liberation Daily Shangguan News released a survey article titled "Questions about Hamlets at Shanghai Long Distance Bus Stations". Through on-site visits to investigate the reasons for the decrease in passenger flow and operational difficulties at bus stations, it was suggested that bus stations explore customized route models and explore new development paths. In the future, the reporter will continue to pay attention to the transformation path of long-distance passenger stations.
