How many ways to open Suzhou River? On the evening of July 15th, a group of lucky tourists experienced the ultimate romance of Suzhou River in the rain on a boat, accompanied by the sound of violin playing.
At 18:40, with 5 minutes left before the ship set sail, raindrops began to fall from the originally clear sky. At the Bund Source Wharf of the Suzhou River cruise ship, the last tourist hurriedly boarded the boat, brushing away the remaining rainwater on their heads. After sitting for a moment, a violin performance of "Jasmine Flower" sounded, and the electric cruise ship quietly started.
This is an open top cruise ship that can only accommodate 12 people, with almost all tourists being locals, middle-aged couples, young couples, and even close friends coming together.
The sudden shower and night gradually dissipated the heat in the air. Amidst the melodious sound of the violin, the pattering sound of rain hits the roof, rapidly dripping along the edges of the tarpaulin, creating a unique scenery. "The sound of rain matches the sound of violin very well!" said a tourist.
The small boat moved forward quietly and slowly. The sky is not yet completely dark, raindrops are making countless ripples on the river surface, and the buildings on both sides are shining brightly. On the small cruise ship, the performer Huang Maomao wore a black dress and had a peaceful temperament. She played songs such as "Night Fragrance", "Suzhou Riverside", and "Praise of Love" in sequence against the score, melodious and lyrical.
I have participated in music festivals in Austria and Denmark, and have also held solo concerts. This is Huang Maomao's first time playing on a cruise ship. She said, "The boat is relatively leisurely and the music played has been specially selected, with a lyrical, gentle, and romantic style. Playing on the boat is almost indistinguishable from the audience and will receive a lot of appreciation and praise from everyone, which is also a good attempt for the performer."
When the ship arrived near the Sihang warehouse dock, the lights on both sides were already on. The cruise ship slowly turns around and passes many bridges, including Xizang Road and Bridge, Zhejiang Road and Bridge, Sichuan Road and Bridge, Zhapu Road and Bridge... Each Suzhou River bridge presents a different beauty under the warm and cold lights. Tourists walked towards the bow of the ship, marveling at its beauty while raising their phones to take photos and record videos.
The half hour voyage seems to be fleeting. When the cruise ship docked, the Garden Bridge of Shanghai was just the red color of the bridge body. The century old building on the left, the Shanghai Tower, gave a warm yellow light, and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai center and the World Financial Center high-rise buildings were clearly visible in the distance. The reflections and lights of buildings on both sides of the Suzhou River shine brightly, creating a stunning scene that can be seen anytime. The encounter in the sound of music adds a touch of romance.
Before disembarking, Miss Sun, a tourist who came with her boyfriend, said, "This is my first time taking a Suzhou River cruise. It's an open boat, raining, and accompanied by music. I'm still not satisfied!"
