Recently, Shanghai Shentie was responsible for investment and construction, and the tunnel section from Huajing Station to Sanlin South Station of the 5th section of the urban railway airport connecting line, which was constructed by Shanghai Tunnel Co., Ltd., has been fully connected. This is the only ultra large diameter tunnel section of the airport connecting line that crosses the Huangpu River, and it is also the second time that the "Qiyue" has completed the tunnel section excavation task in the construction of the airport connecting line.
The total length of the tunnel section from Huajing Station to Sanlin South Station in Section 5 is 4.28 kilometers, which was excavated by the 14 meter ultra large diameter shield machine "Qiyue" independently developed and manufactured by Shanghai Tunnel. Since its departure on September 26, 2022, it has completed a super long distance of 1.1 kilometers crossing the Huangpu River, crossing multiple major risk sources, and achieving the highest monthly excavation of 323 rings.
It is reported that the geological environment of the shield tunneling reception is complex, and the project team continuously optimizes the reception plan. By deepening the design depth of the dewatering well from 33.5 meters to 39.5 meters, extending the filter tube to 37.5 meters, and increasing the number of dewatering wells from 6 to 8, measures have been taken to reduce the risk of leakage at the tunnel entrance.

During the reception process, considering the shallow burial depth of the soil and the relatively large unilateral gap between the tunnel ring and the pipe segment, the project team pre embedded rubber airbags in the tunnel ring. After the cutterhead passed through the tunnel ring, the airbags were activated at any time according to the actual situation on site to seal the gap between the tunnel ring and the shield machine shell, thus forming a safe and reliable barrier, ensuring the smooth reception of the shield machine.
