Today is the 100 day countdown to the opening of the 6th China International Import Expo. According to the Shanghai Greening and Urban Appearance Bureau, the Urban Appearance and Environment Group of the 6th China International Import Expo, together with its member units, has been working closely since the beginning of this year. All tasks have been vigorously, orderly, and effectively promoted. The overall construction rate of 2439 guarantee projects in each district has reached 80%, and the comprehensive improvement of 41 areas with weak urban appearance and environment in the city has been completed.
The 6th CIIE City Appearance and Environment Group is composed of 39 member units, including various committees, bureaus, districts, and key enterprises. With cleanliness, orderliness, warmth, safety, and aesthetics as the standards, the City Appearance and Environment Group focuses on five key tasks: environmental cleaning, difficult rectification, standardized management, beautification and improvement, and demonstration and guidance. It has identified 20 key areas of work, including road and bridge cleaning, water environment cleaning, illegal building rectification, deepening responsibility area management, and optimizing public seat configuration. Each committee, bureau, and key enterprise has identified 74 security tasks, and each district has identified 2439 security tasks.
The Shanghai Greening and Urban Appearance Bureau stated that it will adhere to the "Environmental Cleanliness Day" activity on the 15th of each month, focusing on rectifying the dirty and disorderly environment around the entrances and exits of various rail transit stations in the city, as well as the disorderly parking of non motorized vehicles. It will increase cleaning operations in areas such as elevated ramps and the bottom of elevated bridges, increase environmental improvement in back streets, alleys, border areas, and weak areas, regularly conduct special inspections on the effectiveness of garbage classification for construction waste and industry units, and increase the intensity of garbage classification inspections in key guarantee areas.
While wiping away dust and dust, the city's "beauty" is also being carried out in an orderly manner. The Shanghai Greening and Urban Appearance Bureau stated that in preparation for the 6th CIIE, Shanghai will continue to consolidate and develop the achievements of "Shenzi" elevated flower arrangement along the entrance, continue to promote the construction of "Hundred Mile Flower Belt", "Hundred Flower Paths", and "Hundred Scenic Spots", optimize the landscape lighting effect of the National Exhibition Center and its surrounding areas, and create new highlights of "One River, One River, Two Elevations" landscape lighting.
The CIIE will drive the improvement of the appearance and function of urban blocks. Shanghai will build 100 "beautiful neighborhoods" this year, and 53 have been completed. In combination with the construction of a 15 minute community living circle, a demonstration point for "beautiful neighborhoods" will be created, striving to create more convenient and accessible "internet celebrity" block spaces, and enhance the sense of gain and satisfaction of the people.
