The speed is 60 times faster than manual labor, and the Shanghai construction site has invited the steel bar "divine calculation" backstage | high temperature | construction site
When technology intervenes in the traditional construction industry, a small innovation can achieve twice the result with half the effort. For example, in hot weather, small processes such as counting steel bars can avoid a large amount of manpower investment.
At the construction site, the acceptance of building materials upon arrival is an essential step. Reinforced steel pipes have a large quantity and variety, and are generally stacked in outdoor areas. Due to different size specifications, manual counting is required. A single entry inventory often requires several material handlers to spend several hours, and the counting results are often influenced by human factors.
The reporter learned from Shanghai Construction Fourth Construction Group that in order to solve the pain points, technicians have independently developed a WeChat mini program called "Steel Bar Cloud Points" based on computer vision, deep learning, and 5G technology. By taking photos with a mobile phone, the number of steel bar and steel pipe points can be automatically completed in just 2.3 seconds.
The WeChat mini program "Reinforcement/Steel Pipe Cloud Points" consists of two parts: a front-end and a back-end record management platform. The front-end of the mini program is mainly used to input images of steel bars to be counted, edit images online, intelligently count steel bars, verify the number of steel bars, and generate steel bar count reports; The backend record management platform is mainly used to record the real-time operation of the front-end of the mini program, including recording user information such as name, project, unit, as well as usage time, number of steel bar cloud points, and verified steel bar quantity.
At present, the mini program is open for use by external units. In just over a year of landing, the recognition speed is still constantly improving. The data shows that the mini program has been called about 40000 times and completed about 3.5 million steel pipe cloud points. According to manual counting, it takes 2 seconds to count each steel pipe. The same number of steel pipes requires 1950 hours for uninterrupted manual counting, and using a mini program to count only takes 32 hours, increasing the efficiency of counting by 60 times.
Technicians explained that in the latest version of the V5.0 mini program, the accuracy of steel bar cloud points is close to 95%, and the accuracy of steel pipe cloud points is close to 98.5%. When occasional errors or omissions occur, timely and efficient point counting and correction can also be carried out manually.
As of now, the mini program has been fully applied in key projects such as the Shanghai Opera House, Xujiahui Center, and World Expo Hotel, and has been opened for use by external enterprises, research institutes, universities, and others. The mini program has a total of 15500 registered users and is widely distributed nationwide.
