At around 23:00 today, the flood control office in Shanghai reported the city's flood situation on July 21st. Affected by strong precipitation clouds, 76 roads, 37 underpasses, and 72 residential areas have experienced waterlogging, and some areas are still being treated.
According to the Shanghai Flood Control Command, the heavy rainfall process in Shanghai has shown the characteristics of high precipitation intensity and accumulated rainfall, with hourly rainfall exceeding 100 millimeters at 13 stations. 77 rainfall monitoring stations reach the level of heavy rainstorm, accounting for about 10%; 105 reached the level of rainstorm, accounting for 13.7%; 55 reached the level of heavy rain, accounting for approximately 7.2%. Rainfall is mainly concentrated in Minhang District, Qingpu District, Putuo District, etc. The maximum hourly rainfall is 125.4 millimeters on Dinghai Road Street. The maximum cumulative rainfall occurred at 178.7 millimeters in Xinhong Street, Minhang.
At 19:45 today, the Shanghai center Meteorological Observatory lifted the yellow warning signal of rainstorm, and the municipal flood control headquarters synchronously terminated the city's three-level response to flood control and typhoon prevention, and the city's flood situation was generally stable. 15818 flood control agencies at all levels in the city were on duty, timely tracking, scheduling, and handling disaster situations. A total of 1249 emergency teams and 22109 team members were assembled in the city, with a total of 6416 personnel dispatched. 83 mobile pump trucks are all on standby, among which the city level assault team dispatched 17 emergency vehicles to participate in the drainage of accumulated water. 2950 water discharge personnel were dispatched throughout the city to conduct road inspections and fully ensure flood prevention and drainage safety.
During the precipitation process, three hydrological stations in the city exceeded the warning water level. Mainly the Hongqiao New Bridge with a length of 3.22 meters; 3.7 meters from Beixinjing; Zhaotun is 3.52 meters tall.
In terms of disaster situation, during this precipitation process, 76 roads, 37 underpasses, and 72 residential areas experienced waterlogging, mainly distributed in Pudong New Area, Changning District, Hongkou District, Putuo District, Yangpu District, Jing'an District, Qingpu District, Jiading District, Minhang District, and Baoshan District.
Among them, 13 underpasses had accumulated water exceeding 25 centimeters, and measures were taken to seal them. The deepest accumulated water at the underpass of Guangxin Road was 120 centimeters, and the deepest accumulated water on the road exceeded 30 centimeters. The hotline disaster report reported 88 cases of waterlogging, mainly in areas such as Putuo, Changning, Yangpu, Pudong, and Jiading.
As of 22:00 today, the accumulated water in Pudong, Yangpu, Jing'an, and Baoshan has basically subsided. There are also 7 underpass accumulated water in Putuo, Minhang, Jiading, and more than 10 roads and residential areas in Qingpu and Changning still under treatment.
