The latest construction progress of the Nanhui branch line of the Shanghai Municipal Railway has been announced, with the aim of quickly connecting the Lingang New Area and Pudong Hub. The reporter learned from Shanghai Shentie that the foundation and earthwork engineering of Yanlu Station under Section 1 of Nanhui Branch Line have been completed, and the overall progress has reached 66.3%. The pile foundation of the Dongda Highway Station in Section 4 has been fully grouted, and the main construction will enter a new stage.
The total length of the Nanhui branch line is about 34.86 kilometers, of which the main line is about 27.88 kilometers long and the east branch line is about 6.98 kilometers long. There are a total of 6 stations on the entire line, and the maximum operating speed of trains is 160 kilometers per hour. The project will work together with airport connecting lines, demonstration area lines, and other routes to build a fast connection channel between the Lingang New Area, Pudong Hub, Hongqiao Hub, and the main urban area of Shanghai, helping the Lingang New Area achieve an international open hub function of "connecting internal and external, land, sea, and air linkage".
"Xiayan Road Station is located on the east side of Lianggang Avenue in the Lingang New Area. It is the first station on the Nanhui Branch Line that enters the Lingang New Area from the planned terminal of Pudong Airport. It is an elevated station with two floors above ground. Shanghai Shentie Railway has introduced that since construction began on May 1st, the station has completed the reinforced concrete pouring of three construction sections of column and beam slabs. It is expected to fully complete the cast-in-place pouring of the column and beam slabs of the rail bearing layer by the end of August, creating conditions for the subsequent construction of track beam erection, building decoration, and supporting facilities.".
Faced with the high temperatures in summer, the project team adopted the method of "focusing on both ends and resting in the middle", timely promoting and educating construction workers on precautions for heatstroke prevention, distributing heatstroke prevention and cooling supplies on site, and providing heatstroke prevention equipment. At the same time, the project team moved project coordination meetings, briefing meetings, etc. to the construction front line for timely communication and coordination of on-site issues, and made every effort to organize the configuration of personnel, materials, and machinery to provide guarantees for project construction.
In addition, there have been new developments in the airport connecting line, and the first piece of track 2 project has recently passed the acceptance smoothly. "Track Section 2 is mainly responsible for the construction of the temporary work well track from Huajing Station to Pudong Airport, with a total length of about 39 kilometers." The relevant person in charge introduced that the first project is the standard test section. The acceptance team inspected the installation of track bed fasteners, steel bar binding, track geometry and other process links on site, checked the relevant information in the first section, and the measured data met the design and specification requirements. The quality of the first project passed the acceptance, laying the foundation for large-scale construction.
