The first use will alleviate the problem of "parking difficulties". Today, the world's largest vertical shaft boring machine went underground in Shanghai for a smart project
After several months of preparation, the world's largest vertical shaft excavation machine, "Dream", independently developed by China, is about to start excavation in the middle of the Jing'an underground smart parking garage project in Shanghai today.
Among various underground parking garage projects, the Jing'an underground smart parking garage project is quite unique, with two titles: "World's largest diameter" and "Shanghai's first". This is because the "Dream" used in the project is the world's largest vertical shaft boring machine. The total weight is 700 tons, with an excavation diameter of 14 to 23 meters and a maximum lifting capacity of 7200 tons. The host can dive underwater to excavate and collect soil, with a maximum excavation depth of up to 80 meters, and the overall technology has reached the international advanced level.
The first appearance of "Dream" was in the Shanghai underground smart parking garage project. "There is a common problem of 'parking difficulties' in first tier cities, and many measures for parking difficulties have limited effectiveness, some of which are difficult to implement due to various factors." said Niu Juntao, Chairman and General Manager of Shanghai Intelligent Transportation Technology Co., Ltd. of China Railway 15th Bureau Group. In contrast, the Jing'an underground intelligent parking garage is a new exploration.
What are the innovations of the new underground smart garage? Wang Wenchan, the project leader of China Railway 15th Bureau, stated that the total investment of the project is 123 million yuan, which has innovative significance in the utilization and paid use of deep underground spaces. It utilizes the underground space of urban parks to construct public parking lots, which occupy less land resources, have high space utilization efficiency, have little environmental impact, and have fast construction speed. At the same time, it adopts a 19 story steel structure design, utilizes vertical lifting and three-dimensional mechanical parking, uses pallet parking and handling technology and mobile app reservation and automatic access vehicle handling equipment. The average single vehicle access time is 90 seconds, integrating equipment, operation, monitoring, maintenance, and management intelligence.
After the project is completed, it will alleviate the problem of parking difficulties for residents in surrounding communities. Build two smart underground parking lots with a total of 304 parking spaces, which is 10 times more than parking vehicles in the same area above ground parking lot.
