The reporter learned from the 100 day countdown press conference for the opening of the 6th China International Import Expo held on the morning of July 26th that as of now, the contracted exhibition area of the 6th China International Import Expo Enterprise Business Exhibition has exceeded 360000 square meters, achieving the expected goal.
The 6th CIIE will continue to consist of national comprehensive exhibitions, enterprise business exhibitions, Hongqiao International Economic Forum, professional supporting activities, and cultural exchange activities. The national comprehensive exhibition has three characteristics, one of which is the resumption of offline hosting. The first two national comprehensive exhibitions were held online through the creation of digital exhibition halls and other means. This year, they will return to offline and set up guest countries to showcase exciting content in various fields such as technological innovation, advantageous industries, and investment environment through on-site exhibitions, interactive experiences, and other means. The second is positive feedback from all parties. As of now, many countries have confirmed their participation, covering the least developed countries, developing countries, and developed countries. International organizations such as the World Trade Organization, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and the International Trade Center have also confirmed their participation in the exhibition. The third is the upgrading and expansion of the China Pavilion. The exhibition area of the China Pavilion has increased from 1500 square meters to 2500 square meters, the largest in history. It will focus on showcasing the latest achievements of China's high-level opening up and high-quality development, attracting "investment in China". Among them, a "10th Anniversary Achievement Exhibition of Pilot Free Trade Zones" will also be established to comprehensively showcase the exploration, practice, and construction achievements of pilot free trade zones in promoting reform and opening up in the new era.
Exhibiting companies in business exhibitions are of higher quality. At present, the number of Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders who have signed contracts to participate in exhibitions has exceeded last year. The top 15 global vehicle brands, top 10 medical device enterprises, top 10 industrial electrical enterprises, three mining giants, four accounting firms, three express delivery companies, and five freight forwarders all gathered at the CIIE. Especially with multiple top international exhibition companies returning to participate, adding a touch of brilliance to this year's corporate business exhibition.
The theme of enterprise business exhibitions is more diverse. On the one hand, we will focus on high-quality development and continue to optimize specialized areas such as energy low-carbon and environmental protection technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation incubation around the themes of green and innovation. Among them, the innovation incubation zone will attract more startups from around the world to participate, and the exhibition area will further expand. On the other hand, we will closely adhere to high-quality living, focus on health and consumption themes, upgrade the health and elderly care zone, increase new categories of maternal and child care products, and strive to meet people's aspirations for a better life.
With the theme of "Joining Hands to Promote Development, Opening Up and Win the Future", the 6th Hongqiao International Economic Forum will hold the main forum, the "Investment in China Year" summit, and the "World Opening Report 2023" release, international seminars and several sub-forums around the core theme of "Global Opening" and the functional positioning of "International Public Goods.
