The comprehensive localization of core equipment has been achieved, and China's offshore construction "weapon" has completed sea trials and triumphant trials | Project | China
Today, the reporter learned from Zhenhua Heavy Industry that China's 1800 ton self-propelled and self elevating offshore wind power installation platform "Haifeng 1002" has successfully completed the sea trial node, making full preparations for the official delivery of the platform.
The platform began sea trials on August 8th, during which more than 20 tests were completed and over 2000 sets of data were recorded and analyzed. The project team composed of CCCC Haifeng Wind Power, Zhenhua Heavy Industry, and Supervision Ship Inspection has flexibly adjusted and planned test projects based on actual sea conditions. They have successively completed a series of key sea test projects such as main propulsion system durability test, vibration and noise test, speed test, steering test, anchoring test, DP power positioning test, communication and navigation test, etc. The relevant test data meets the design requirements.

The 1800 ton self elevating self-propelled wind power installation platform has a length of 133.8 meters, a width of 50 meters, and a depth of 11 meters. The maximum operating depth is 70 meters, and it can navigate in unlimited navigation areas, meeting the requirements of B-level ice zone navigation. A 1800 ton rotary crane is installed on the starboard side of the stern of the platform, and a 380 ton auxiliary crane is installed near the starboard leg of the bow. It is a multifunctional offshore construction tool that integrates transportation, self lifting, self navigation, lifting, installation, and dynamic positioning.
The platform's lifting system and other core equipment are independently developed and produced by Zhenhua Heavy Industry, all of which have achieved comprehensive localization. After the platform is built, it will mainly be used for the installation of wind turbine equipment with a capacity of 15 MW and above. To enhance the level of China's offshore wind power infrastructure, achieve the dual carbon goals, and provide strong support for clean energy development.
