Following the announcement by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism that Chinese citizens will expand their outbound group tours to 138 countries and regions, Blue Dream Cruise Line announced today that it will take the lead in opening a 5-day, 4-night route from Shanghai to Jeju Island in South Korea and Nagasaki in Japan on August 30th. This will be the first international cruise line from the home port of Chinese Mainland to South Korea after the suspension of South Korean routes in early 2017.
After the announcement of the third batch of countries and regions to resume outbound team tours on August 10th, Blue Dream Cruise Line actively deployed and quickly planned and connected with the relevant approval processes of the Korean route docking port. The previously announced cruise route was quickly adjusted, and the Shanghai Japan return route was updated to the Shanghai Korea Japan round-trip route, providing tourists with diversified options for cruise vacation.
This time, Blue Dream Cruise has also launched multiple autumn themed routes from Shanghai's home port to Japan and Japan and South Korea, providing tourists with a long lost one passport, visa free, one price all inclusive travel experience. With the opening of the South Korean team tour, tourists can follow the "Blue Dream Star" cruise ship to experience famous attractions on Jeju Island, including Mount Hannah Park and Longtou Rock, experiencing unparalleled natural scenery and the unique tranquility and leisure of Jeju Island. They can also check in to many classic Korean drama shooting locations and taste the unique romantic charm of Jeju Island at the world's largest Teddy Bear Museum and South Korea's first love theme park. In Japan, the Blue Dream Star will also stop at classic destinations such as Fukuoka, the capital of Kyushu, which is full of delicious food, and Nagasaki, which is peaceful, artistic, and full of exotic charm, leading cruise enthusiasts to experience the local natural and cultural scenery together.
On May 26th of this year, Blue Dream Cruise became the first pilot outbound international cruise ship to depart from its domestic port after three years of suspension due to the epidemic. Since then, it has operated 16 voyages smoothly and received more than 22000 tourists, achieving an average occupancy rate of 100% since the summer vacation. In response to the impact of Typhoon No. 5 and No. 6 this summer, Blue Dream Cruise Line, in collaboration with relevant departments such as Baoshan Binjiang Committee, Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Port, Baoshan Maritime, Wusong Maritime, Customs, Border Inspection, Changhang Public Security, and Pilot Station, actively communicated and formulated emergency plans in a timely manner. Passengers were informed of the typhoon situation before and during the voyage, and corresponding refund, compensation, and insurance compensation plans were announced to ensure good operational order. All passengers boarded and disembarked smoothly without any disputes. This is also an important step taken by Blue Dream Cruise Line in exploring the national cruise management of Chinese funded cruise ships, which is managed by the state and self operated and self sold.
