The reporter learned from the first Shanghai Nightlife CEO Conference and 24-hour Vitality City Forum held on the afternoon of June 28th that according to data from key monitoring sample enterprises, since the opening of the 2023 Shanghai Nightlife Festival, the nighttime passenger flow has increased by 23.1% compared to the same period of the 2022 Shopping Festival. According to monitoring by the Consumer Market Big Data Laboratory, as of June 25th, the total nighttime consumption in Shanghai in June was 42.746 billion yuan. According to data from Meituan, during the 2023 Shanghai Nightlife Festival, with the release of Shanghai Nighttime Play Guides such as the 2023 Must Eat List and the 2023 Bar Guide, the number of orders for nighttime dining in Shanghai's restaurants increased by 75% compared to 2021, the number of orders for nighttime bar consumption increased by 73% compared to 2021, and the number of orders for sports and fitness nighttime consumption increased by 90% compared to 2021.
Since the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and nine other departments issued the Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Development of Nighttime Economy in this City, with the active promotion and excavation of various districts, Shanghai has had 16 Night District Magistrates and more than 130 Night Life CEOs.
