Setting a record, Shanghai's "Gold Medal Rocket" once again achieved great success, with a three-day orbit | reservation | successful completion
At 4:02 am today, the Long March-2 Dingyao 81 rocket successfully launched the Remote Sensing 36 satellite into its designated orbit at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The launch mission was a complete success, and all the rockets were developed by the Shanghai Institute of Aerospace Technology of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. This launch is the 480th launch of the Long March series of launch vehicles, setting a record for 150 consecutive successful launches.
On the 23rd, the Long March 2D carrier rocket successfully launched four satellites, including the Four Elephants 01, into the designated orbit. After three days, the Shanghai "Gold Medal Rocket" once again achieved great success. The Long March 2D carrier rocket is a room temperature liquid two-stage carrier rocket with a takeoff thrust of about 300 tons, corresponding to a solar synchronous circular orbit of 700 kilometers with a capacity of 1.3 tons. Capable of single and multiple satellite launch with different orbital requirements at the three major satellite launch centers in Jiuquan, Taiyuan, and Xichang. This is the first launch mission of the Long March 2D rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center this year.
In response to the climate characteristics of high temperature and rainy weather at the launch site in summer, the Chang'er-Ding rocket has continuously improved its practical experience and technical details accumulated from previous multiple launch missions. In various aspects such as the design, production, storage, and inspection of model products, rainproof and waterproof measures have been taken for the entire rocket and ground equipment.
After entering the site, the testing team immediately conducted a rainproof inspection on the remaining equipment and ensured that the equipment was in good condition through various tests. At the same time, in order to avoid the high temperature in summer affecting the temperature conditions inside the fairing, the model adopts the strategy of opening the tower activity platform on the level where the satellite is located last before launch, and provides continuous air supply inside the satellite fairing to provide comfortable and safe environmental conditions for the satellite.
In response to the characteristics of frequent technological changes, tight development cycles, high technical difficulties, and multiple iterative optimizations in satellite development, the satellite development team has carried out state change redesign, optimization, analysis, and reconfirmation work. The two general managers of the model have conducted technical status reviews on the front line to ensure technical details are carefully monitored. Overall, relevant units are led to carry out collaborative research and development, complete the demonstration and analysis of technological changes, and use the AIT digital online control system for model full role application, driven by processes and data, to ensure that all requirements are implemented effectively.
