There are currently 30 unopened entrances and exits due to external construction, accounting for nearly half of the total. This is mainly constrained by external engineering construction factors such as land development, supporting roads or entrance and exit construction and renovation, and does not yet have the conditions for passenger passage. It needs to wait for the completion of external engineering construction and the signing of safety management division agreements before it can be put into use. For example, at the Meiling North Road Station on Line 15, due to the ongoing rapid renovation project of Wuning Road and the incomplete pavement support, the 1st and 2nd entrances cannot be opened temporarily.

"With the promotion of the Municipal Transportation Commission, the reopening time of the two entrances and exits of Meiling North Road Station has been further clarified recently." The person in charge told reporters that there are also some entrances and exits in these already built but not opened stations that cannot be reopened temporarily due to reasons such as the division of the junction interface between the two parties, failure to pass equipment engineering acceptance, or disputes over safety management agreements. ".

Compared to external construction, entrances and exits that are closed due to internal supporting factors generally have a clear schedule for opening. At present, there are a total of 16 subway entrances and exits that have been temporarily closed due to the implementation of elevator internal upgrading and renovation. According to the construction period, they will generally be reopened after 3-6 months.

Some entrances and exits have been closed due to passenger transportation organization reasons. The Fuxing Island Station on Line 12, located on the west side of the only north-south main road on Fuxing Island, has only opened exits 2 and 4 due to limited passenger flow, while exit 3 has not been opened yet. The timing of opening will depend on the passenger flow situation.

On the basis of comprehensive investigation, we are promoting the opening of entrances and exits in accordance with the principle of 'opening as much as possible and opening as much as possible'. According to the plan, Shanghai Metro will gradually open 21 entrances and exits by the end of this year, and other unopened entrances and exits will continue to be tracked and dynamically managed.
