After yesterday's unforgettable heavy rain to heavy rainstorm, Shanghai welcomes thunderstorms again today. A wave of precipitation started early and swept across the central and northern areas of Shencheng from west to east. The impact area and intensity of thunderstorms vary, and today's thunderstorms are not as strong as yesterday's. Yesterday's rainstorm was due to the good conditions of energy, water vapor and dynamic uplift. Industry insiders remind that no matter how developed the city is, extreme weather like heavy rainstorm should still attract attention and awe. The hourly rainfall intensity at some stations in Putuo yesterday exceeded 130 mm, approaching 70% of the maximum rainfall intensity of the "July 20" extremely heavy rainstorm in Zhengzhou in 2021. Affected by rainfall, the highest daily temperature in Shanghai has been below 35 ℃ recently. According to a report from the Central Weather Bureau at 17:30 today, the center of Typhoon No. 5 of this year, "Dussuri," was located approximately 1030 kilometers east of Manila, Philippines at 17:00 today. "Du Suri" will slowly move towards the northwest direction at a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will slowly increase. It is expected to move towards the northwest direction at a speed of 5 to 10 kilometers per hour, approaching the eastern sea surface of Taiwan, and is expected to affect the southeastern coast of China from the 26th.
