Huawei Boss Reveals the "Biggest Difference" of this year's World Artificial Intelligence Conference | Huawei | Artificial Intelligence
As in previous years, Huawei's rotating chairman Hu Houkun spent an afternoon strolling around the exhibition hall before the opening of the conference. At today's opening ceremony, he said, "I discovered the biggest difference in this year's World Artificial Intelligence Conference."
Hu Houkun said that the biggest difference between this year's conference and previous ones is the emergence of ChatGPT, which has pushed artificial intelligence to a new level. "It can be said that artificial intelligence, especially general artificial intelligence, has become one of the hottest topics in current society."
"Yesterday afternoon, I saw in the exhibition hall that on the one hand, everyone was focusing on the research of big models, and on the other hand, they were showcasing a lot of achievements in the application of big models in different industries. I think all of this indicates that the development of artificial intelligence is bringing us new expectations."
If the direction is clear, then it's a path problem. What should we do next. He said that the key to the development of artificial intelligence is to be down-to-earth, promote the deepening and implementation of artificial intelligence, and empower industrial upgrading.
Looking towards the future, Huawei has two focus points in the development of artificial intelligence: first, to build a strong computing power base to support the development of China's artificial intelligence industry. Secondly, truly enable artificial intelligence to serve thousands of industries and scientific research and innovation well.
Hu Houkun said that for many years, Huawei has been deeply cultivating computing power, mainly focusing on the root technology of Kunpeng and Ascend. By means of architectural innovation, ecological development, and co building computing power, we will support the construction of future computing power bases.
In China, customers have diverse demands for computing power, and Huawei adopts various models to build computing power based on actual situations. For governments, large enterprises, and small and medium-sized enterprises, Huawei has a flexible model to choose from for decision-making, making computing power no longer a bottleneck.
Hu Houkun stated that the key to Huawei Cloud's release of the Pangu big model is to go deep and practical, targeting thousands of industries, serving production activities and scientific research innovation, and allowing artificial intelligence to create value. The Huawei Cloud Pangu Big Model has penetrated more than 10 industries, including finance, manufacturing, government affairs, power, coal mining, healthcare, and railways, supporting the implementation of AI applications in over 400 business scenarios. He finally revealed that at tomorrow's Huawei Cloud Developer Conference, Pangu Big Model 3.0 is about to be released.
