The big model is undoubtedly the top priority of this conference. 2023 is known as the first year of AIGC. In response to the trend of the industry, this conference has also set up the "Towards General Artificial Intelligence" themed exhibition area for the first time, showcasing a total of more than 30 large models at home and abroad, including the most popular universal models and vertical application models.
At this conference, almost all of the top domestic universal large model products were in place. More than 10 major models, including Baidu Wenxin Model, Shangtang Ririxin Model, iFlytek Spark Cognitive Model, Huawei Cloud Pangu Model, Alibaba Cloud Tongyi Qianwen Model, JD Cloud Yanxi Model, Tsinghua University ChatGLM, Fudan University MOSS Model, will be unveiled, and an experience window for generative AI technology will be set up on-site. "Our Wenxin Big Model was once the treasure of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference last year, and this year, our Wenxin Yige has been selected as the treasure of the museum." According to Wu Hao, a market consultant at Baidu Technology Zhongtai, Wenxin Yige is a new product derived from the Wenxin Big Model, which is called "using culture to create images". In the future, such AI drawing tools will greatly improve the work efficiency of artists and designers. In addition, some large models will be released with upgraded versions during the WAIC event, such as Shangtang, which will release the 2.0 version of its language model "Discussion SenseChat" during the exhibition. It is understood that Discussion SenseChat 2.0 will make improvements in training strategies and data scale.
In terms of vertical application big models, companies such as Qualcomm, Lanzhou Technology, and Daguan Data will showcase their big model application products at the conference, showcasing how big model technology can be applied and commercialized in specific scenarios. At the same time, many new products for vertical application big models will also be launched at this conference, such as the self-developed "Cao Zhi" big model by Daguan Data. The Caozhi model is specifically developed for vertical industries such as finance, industry, finance and taxation, government affairs, and energy. It supports long text writing and translation functions and can provide customized services for users.
Compared to previous conferences, more targeted large model supporting products have emerged in this year's WAIC. For example, regarding the security performance testing of large models, Ant Group presented its self-developed "Ant Detection AI Security Testing Platform 2.0" at this conference. This product can use induction generation technology to perform AIGC security checks on other large models, which means that AI can "compete" with AI to ensure the ethical, data, and privacy security of the tested large models. At present, this product has been applied in scenarios such as finance, insurance, security, government affairs, and intelligent customer service.
Some enterprises with hardware advantages have also begun to enter the field of large model supporting services. Huawei's exhibition this time brought about the Ascension AI "Big Model Super Factory", which was also listed as the treasure of this conference. The "Big Model Super Factory" is a complete integrated solution for big model training and promotion, empowering the entire process of big model development from hardware to software.
