To further meet the travel needs of passengers during the summer transportation period, the Shanghai Metro Hongqiao Hub Station will further increase its extended transportation services on the basis of the existing fixed-point opening mechanism. The reporter learned from Shentong Metro today that from August 4th to September 3rd, 2023, Line 10 and Line 17 plan to operate additional scheduled buses every Friday and Sunday to concentrate the transportation of night time passenger flow at the Hongqiao hub.
According to the plan, from August 4th to September 3rd, after the last train on Line 10 is delayed every Friday, two additional scheduled trains will be added. The departure points at Hongqiao Railway Station are 00:5 and 00:20. At the same time, on the basis of the existing regular fixed point additional trains, Line 10 adds 5 fixed point additional trains every Sunday. The departure points of Hongqiao Railway Station are 23:15, 23:30, 23:45, 0:00, and 0:20.
The designated additional train stops for Line 10 are consistent with the normal designated additional trains, namely Hongqiao Railway Station, Hongqiao Terminal 2, Hongqiao Terminal 1, Hongqiao Road Station, Shaanxi South Road Station, Nanjing East Road Station, Hailun Road Station, Siping Road Station, and Wujiaochang Station. Among them, passengers can board and disembark at Hongqiao Terminal 2 and Hongqiao Terminal 1, while passengers can only board and disembark at other stations.
On Fridays and Sundays of Line 17, after the last regular train at 23:00, two additional scheduled trains will be added. The departure points at Hongqiao Railway Station are 23:15 and 23:30. The stopping stations are Hongqiao Railway Station, Xujing Beicheng Station, Huijin Road Station, Caoying Road Station, and Zhujiajiao Station. Among them, Hongqiao Railway Station handles passenger boarding, while the rest of the stations only allow passengers to disembark.
The Shanghai Metro stated that the newly added scheduled bus service is only for the summer transportation period. After September 3, 2023, Line 10 and Line 17 will resume normal operation.
