On the morning of August 25th, the Zhujiajiao Fire Rescue Station in Qingpu District, Shanghai welcomed a special group of guests, who were members of the fire rescue teams in Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province and Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. Under the scorching sun, the fire rescue teams in the three areas conducted drills on various skills such as pulling ladders to rescue people, breaking down anti-theft doors to rescue people, and dealing with dangerous goods leaks, demonstrating the excellent professional qualities of young firefighters.
This is the exhibition site of the first Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integration Development Demonstration Zone Fire Rescue Team Business Skills Competition. This event is guided and promoted by the Federation of Trade Unions of the Three Provinces and One City in the Yangtze River Delta, and led by the Qingpu District Federation of Trade Unions, in collaboration with the Federation of Trade Unions of Wujiang District and Jiashan County, as well as the fire departments of the three regions.
Zeng Yangcheng, Deputy Team Leader of Zhujiajiao Fire Rescue Station in Qingpu District, participated in this competition. He introduced that in the past few years, the fire teams of the three demonstration areas have jointly held a practical training session every year, strengthening their ability to communicate and coordinate operations. However, it is still the first time that a skills competition has been held. Through competitions, everyone complements each other's strengths and weaknesses, and gains a lot.
"For the same task, the fire rescue teams in the three regions brought the best equipment and adopted their own best methods. By comparing them, everyone quickly discovered the differences in their respective concepts. For example, in the project of breaking down anti-theft doors, everyone used different equipment and methods, some used cutting, some used expansion, and some used the method of destroying lock cores. Through communication, everyone had new ideas, which is something that cannot be learned through repeated practice." Zeng Yangcheng said.
The reporter learned that holding this competition is also to implement the spirit of the 2023 Yangtze River Delta Major Leaders Symposium and the Yangtze River Delta High Quality Integrated Development Union Work Joint Conference.
At present, the joint construction of engineering and construction in Qingpu, Wujiang, and Jiashan is moving towards a deeper and higher level. Zhang Ruyi, Deputy Minister of the Grassroots Work Department of the Qingpu District Federation of Trade Unions, introduced that on July 12th, the three trade unions signed the "Comprehensive Cooperation Framework Agreement for Industrial and Construction Cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integration Development Demonstration Zone", and released a list of key cooperation projects and activities for 2023-2024. At the same time, the three trade unions have also deepened and improved the joint meeting mechanism, annual rotation mechanism, and communication mechanism. This year, the Qingpu District Federation of Trade Unions will rotate first.
"The cooperation areas of the three trade unions in the future demonstration zone will not be limited to merit competitions in various industries, but also include five aspects: ideological and cultural co training, grassroots organization co construction, rights protection co protection, advanced talent co education, and service resource sharing. We will explore cross regional, cross departmental, and cross job union organizational structures." Zhang Ruyi said.
