Another Shanghai Urban Renewal Special Exhibition Opened by the Huangpu River, Inheriting the Red Gene of Shanghai State owned Assets and Enterprises | Urban Renewal | Shanghai
On July 31st, the launch ceremony of the "Red Culture Entering State owned Enterprises" series of activities - the "Shanghai State owned Assets and State owned Enterprises Red Gene Exhibition and Shanghai Real Estate Group and Shanghai Urban Renewal Special Exhibition" was held at the Qinhuangdao Road Cruise Terminal.
Turn from Yangshupu Road to No. 32 Qinhuangdao Road, where the Qinhuangdao Road Cruise Terminal stands by the river. Its predecessor was Huangpu Terminal. From 1919 to 1920, "opening one's eyes to see the world" became a consensus among awakened Chinese intellectuals. More than 650 students, including Zhou Enlai, Deng Xiaoping, Nie Rongzhen, and others, boarded ships from Huangpu Port and crossed the ocean to France to pursue new knowledge.
The Qinhuangdao Road Cruise Terminal is the venue for this exhibition, which is open to the public for free. Among them, the "Shanghai State owned Assets and Enterprises Red Gene Exhibition" section includes columns such as "The Vanguard of the Working Class" and "The Workers' Movement under the Party's Leadership". Nearly a hundred precious pictures showcase the red history of Shanghai's industrial and commercial industry under the Party's leadership, the inheritance of the red genes of Shanghai's state-owned enterprises, and also tell the great struggle of the Shanghai working class, the glorious tradition and red genes of Shanghai's state-owned enterprises.
The "Shanghai Real Estate Group and Shanghai Urban Renewal Special Exhibition" focuses on showcasing Shanghai Real Estate Group's "six major actions" in urban renewal, including comprehensive regional revitalization, improvement of living environment quality, optimization of public space facilities, reshaping of historical charm, improvement of industrial park quality and efficiency, and revitalization of commercial and business activities, fully promoting high-quality development of urban renewal.
The "Red Culture Enters State Owned Enterprises" series of activities are jointly organized by the Party Committee of the Shanghai State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Party History Research Office of the Municipal Party Committee, Xinmin Evening News, and others. Since July 2019, they have visited 13 large state-owned enterprises in Shanghai. By deeply exploring the rich red resources and genes contained in Shanghai's state-owned assets and enterprises, and based on the characteristics and history of different state-owned enterprises, we have created new red culture promotion spaces and models, and expanded the form of theme education.
The "Red Culture Enters State Owned Enterprises" event is hosted by Shanghai Real Estate Group. As the most important urban renewal platform in Shanghai, Shanghai Real Estate Group was listed as the "Shanghai Urban Renewal Center" in July 2020. In the large-scale old area renovation that ended in July 2022, the Shanghai Urban Renewal Center has launched a total of 75 land parcel renovations, benefiting approximately 53000 households, accounting for about 60% of the city's old area renovation plan.
