Yesterday, with the addition of three new megawatt level photovoltaic power stations, the total installed capacity of Shanghai Petrochemical Photovoltaic Power Station reached 16 megawatts, with an average annual power generation of about 18.86 million kilowatt hours. It can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 10756 tons and save 5847 tons of standard coal, equivalent to planting 590000 trees.
It is understood that according to the principle of "nearby grid connection, local consumption, low loss and high efficiency", the three photovoltaic power stations under centralized construction this time are the Nansuitang River Photovoltaic Power Station, the North Photovoltaic Power Station of the Carbon Fiber Business Unit, and the South Photovoltaic Power Station of the Carbon Fiber Business Unit. The effective area for laying photovoltaic modules is 90000 square meters, and the total installed capacity is 14.02 MW.
Under the Shanghai Petrochemical seawall, there is a 2.7 kilometer long Nansuitang River with clear water. The green tree belt on the Henan bank is lush, and the photovoltaic belt on the Hebei bank is sparkling, forming an industrial display belt for green development that can be viewed. From June 30th to July 6th, the South Suitang River distributed photovoltaic power station, consisting of 10164 monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and with an installed capacity of 5.84 megawatts, was the first to achieve grid connected power generation, becoming the company's third and third photovoltaic power station.

The No. 4 photovoltaic power station consists of a photovoltaic power generation project built on the roofs of the acrylic fiber south and north units of the carbon fiber business unit and the chemical power workshop, with an installed capacity of 2.89 MW; The No. 5 photovoltaic power station consists of photovoltaic power generation projects distributed on the roofs of the carbon fiber workshops, carbonization workshops, spinning workshops, and three-dimensional warehouses in the southern area of the carbon fiber business unit, with an installed capacity of 5.29 MW. The operation of carbon fiber photovoltaic power stations in the southern region has created a situation where the two major industries of new materials and new energy are organically integrated and advancing together.
In recent years, Shanghai Petrochemical has accelerated its integration into the "one base, two wings, and three new" industrial pattern, comprehensively promoting green and low-carbon development projects such as distributed photovoltaic power generation and hydrogen energy construction. In September 2021, Shanghai Petrochemical utilized the roof of the 220 kV distribution room of the Ministry of Thermal Power to build a photovoltaic device with an installed capacity of 400 kilowatts, becoming its first photovoltaic power station in history. The annual power generation is 480000 kilowatt hours, and the generated electricity is used to supply the daily operation of auxiliary electrical equipment.
In April of this year, a second photovoltaic power station was built on the roof of the Huanjiang Road warehouse, and its scale reached the megawatt level for the first time, with an installed capacity of 1.53 megawatts and an annual power generation of 1.41 million kilowatt hours, fully meeting the self-sufficient electricity demand of the warehouse. The warehouse has taken the lead in achieving carbon neutrality goals in the Shanghai Petrochemical warehouse area.
