On the evening of May 10, the Huai Opera "Fire" created and rehearsed by the Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe was performed at the Wanping Theater. The performance climaxed one after another and the audience responded enthusiastically.

The Huai Opera "Fire" is an annual drama created by the Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe in 2023, and is included in the 2022 Shanghai Major Literary Creation Funding Commissioned Creation Project. The play takes the three armed worker uprisings that took place in Shanghai from 1926 to 1927 as the theme and tells the story of the lower-level industrial workers. In October 2023, after the Huai opera "Fire" premiered at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, expert seminars were held three times. The creative team discussed and modified the script many times based on the opinions of experts, constantly polishing and adjusting it, and striving for excellence.

Starting from grasping the main line, strengthening the structure, densely stitching, and establishing characters, "Fire" highlights the main characters' personalities, focuses on strengthening the depiction of the background of the times, and further strengthens the leadership role of the Communist Party of China in the three armed workers' uprisings in Shanghai. The artistic quality It answers the question "Why was the Communist Party of China born in Shanghai?" Revisions also fill in the gaps and eliminate the essentials, from correcting inaccurate lines to eliminating inappropriate music to supplementing inadequate emotions. The whole crew pays close attention to every detail, deeply explores the inner spirit of the play, and explores the delicate emotions and personality traits deep inside the characters to increase the richness and realism of the work. During the May Day holiday, the entire crew of "Fire" still stayed in the rehearsal hall.
