According to the promotion and points system of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games Olympic Qualification Series, 464 athletes from more than 120 national and regional Olympic committees will participate, including 7 Olympic champions and 18 Olympic medalists. They will compete for more than 150 seats in the Paris Olympics in four events: freestyle BMX, break dancing, skateboarding and rock climbing. The International Olympic Committee stated that the Olympic Qualification Series is the final stop for these four events leading to the Paris Olympics.

In the freestyle BMX event, the Chinese team will send three female athletes, Sun Sibei, Sun Jiaqi, and Deng Yawen, and a male athlete from Haiyang to participate. Skateboarding became an official event for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics. The top 44 athletes currently ranked in the world will pass two Olympic qualification series to determine their tickets to the Paris Olympics.
