Minhang police beat up several online mafia gangs, and Tiktok reported that users used indecent live broadcast to channel blackmail for fraud gangs | Platform | Channel
Black screen live broadcast, the sound of indecent videos came from the background, followed by a two-dimensional code with a link to the software "About Guns in the Same City", which helped to channel the electronic fraud gangs. Recently, the Minhang police successfully destroyed a number of online mafia gangs that channeled electronic fraud through pornographic live broadcast on the Tiktok platform, and captured a total of 16 suspect.
In February this year, the Minhang police received a report from the security center of the Tiktok platform, which monitored a large number of abnormal short video accounts, played the previously recorded indecent videos during the live broadcast, and inserted the QR code with the "about gun" software link, leading users to overseas third-party platforms for fraud.

In the investigation, the police discovered multiple online black and gray production teams that used this technique to attract profits for overseas fraud groups. "These gangs first create indecent videos and traffic QR codes, and then purchase and control a large number of short video platform accounts to increase exposure and attract users to third-party platforms through purchasing live streaming and other forms of traffic." The police explained that once users download the software, the electronic fraud gang will continuously use tactics such as completing tasks to obtain free "appointment opportunities", layer by layer, and carry out fraud such as brushing orders and naked chatting.
After obtaining relevant evidence, the police went to multiple locations and arrested 16 members of a gang that diverted illegal activities, including Mr. Zhi. They also seized 25 mobile phones and 8 hard drives used for the crime at the scene. The internal division of labor within this gang is clear, with some responsible for providing platform accounts and live broadcasts, some responsible for technical support, some responsible for charging money to purchase traffic, some responsible for QR code and video production, etc., and settling the number of visits and software installations to fraudulent websites with overseas "upstream".
