Yesterday, the 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference Rule of Law Forum was held. The theme of this forum is "Digital Governance: Legal Response to Generative Artificial Intelligence", which attracted more than 500 guests to attend on-site and over 350000 online viewers. Yang Wanming, Vice President of the Supreme People's Court, and Zhang Xueqiao, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, attended the forum and delivered speeches.
Participants pointed out the need to re-examine the legal system that conforms to the logic of digital space and strengthen the exploration of bottom line thinking in generative artificial intelligence. To prosper and lead the cultivation of digital legal talents, further enhance the strategic advantage of talents, and comprehensively enhance the ability of digital ecological governance. We need to accelerate the construction of a new pattern of digital ecological cooperation, promote comprehensive governance of the digital society, and work together with the world to promote the legitimate, secure, and orderly development of generative artificial intelligence.
The forum also released the Blue Book of World Artificial Intelligence Rule of Law, AI Rule of Law Development Index 4.0, and China AI Rule of Law Development Evaluation Report. The Blue Book focuses on the latest developments in the development of artificial intelligence rule of law worldwide, collecting and summarizing the latest information on strategies, policies, laws, theoretical research, major project applications, typical judicial cases, and other aspects related to the development of artificial intelligence rule of law in various countries, especially the cutting-edge issues such as generative artificial intelligence governance and metaverse regulation represented by ChatGPT. Through analysis and evaluation, a relatively objective, fair, accurate, and comprehensive analysis report has been formed.
