The incidence rate of acute hepatitis B B has dropped to the lowest level in history. World Hepatitis Day | Shanghai has entered the stage of "eliminating hepatitis hazards" Virus | hepatitis | hazards
July 28th is the 13th World Hepatitis Day worldwide. From the 23rd to the 30th, the theme publicity week activity of "adhering to early prevention, strengthening detection, and standardizing antiviral treatment" hosted by the Municipal Health Commission and the ninth "love liver public welfare" expert free clinic activity spread news: Shanghai has entered the stage of "elimination of hepatitis hazards", the incidence rate of acute hepatitis B has dropped to the lowest level in history, and 219 medical institutions in the city can provide hepatitis diagnosis and treatment services.
For many years, Shanghai has attached great importance to the prevention and treatment of viral hepatitis, and measures such as blood safety, immune prevention, testing and treatment, community management, and public education have been effectively implemented. At present, the coverage rate of hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccines in children's immunization program remains above 99%; Since 2010, based on the principle of "voluntariness and free", hepatitis B vaccination service has been extended to permanent residents over 18 years old in the city. The incidence rate of acute hepatitis B reported in the city has dropped to the lowest level in history, and the carrying rate of hepatitis B surface antigen in children under 5 years old is controlled below 1%.
The first-line drugs for hepatitis B treatment have been included in the city's centralized procurement catalogue, with prices falling sharply and the burden of disease of patients further reduced. Except for 219 medical institutions that can provide hepatitis diagnosis and treatment services, the city has established 30 designated medical institutions for hepatitis C, further improving the city's hepatitis diagnosis and treatment management service system. In order to further eliminate the harm of hepatitis C, according to the national deployment, 30 medical institutions have been selected as the hepatitis C inflammation diagnosis and treatment management service system. Designated medical institutions for hepatitis C can provide laboratory testing, standardized diagnosis and treatment, and follow-up services related to hepatitis C and other hepatitis diseases to the public. In conjunction with the dual channel pharmacy function of medical insurance, it greatly improves the accessibility of hepatitis C drugs to the public. Our city is also actively exploring the establishment of a hepatitis C and other specialized disease management service model consisting of disease prevention and control centers, designated hospitals, and community health service centers. Priority will be given to providing outpatient mutual assistance services for elderly hepatitis patients who have signed contracts with the community, and the quality of treatment services will be continuously improved.
It is worth mentioning that the experience of community management for chronic hepatitis in Shanghai has been adopted by the World Health Organization as a case of eliminating viral hepatitis in China. The contracted management services for chronic hepatitis patients in this city have been expanded to 203 communities in 16 districts, of which 13 districts have achieved full coverage within the service provision areas. More than 90% of community health service centers can provide antiviral treatment drugs for chronic hepatitis patients, and provide contracted management services for nearly 8500 households of chronic hepatitis patients.
Since the implementation of the community health management project for chronic hepatitis patients, the quality of life of the contracted patients has significantly improved, and the burden of family disease has significantly decreased. The antiviral drug treatment rate of the contracted patients has reached nearly 65%, higher than the national average. The proportion of patients with disease fluctuations or acute attacks during the visit period has declined. The proportion of hospitalized patients has declined from 22% at the beginning of the project implementation to 15%, and the proportion of patients with abnormal liver function has declined from 32% to 10%. It has cumulatively provided 77000 doses of adult hepatitis B vaccine for people at high risk of hepatitis B infection for free.
However, the disease burden of chronic hepatitis in our country remains heavy. Most patients with chronic hepatitis are not aware of their own infection status. In April this year, the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission and 10 other departments jointly released the Shanghai Action Plan for Eliminating the Public Health Hazards of Hepatitis C, marking that the city's hepatitis prevention and control work has entered the stage of "group centered risk elimination" from "individual centered treatment and cure".
Intensify testing efforts and promote the detection of hepatitis C infected individuals. At present, our city has included hepatitis C antibody and nucleic acid testing in the routine testing items before invasive or invasive treatment in medical institutions. Minhang District, Pudong New Area, Songjiang District, and Fengxian District have provided hepatitis C related testing services in the free health examination items for elderly people aged 60 and above. The scope of the above tests will be further expanded.
It is reported that at the science popularization and free consultation event held by Yueyang Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital affiliated with Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine on the 26th, liver disease experts such as Liu Huabao, a renowned Chinese medicine practitioner from across the country, and Wang Lingtai, a renowned Chinese medicine practitioner from Shanghai, provided health advice to the general public. Zhu Junfeng, Director of the Liver Disease Department at Yueyang Hospital, stated that fatty liver is a progressive disease that, if not controlled, can also develop into fatty liver, cirrhosis, and even liver cancer. Even if mild fatty liver is detected during a citizen's physical examination, it is necessary to seek medical intervention in a timely manner, scientifically and effectively treat and control the progression of the disease, and even achieve a cure.
Expert introduction: patients with fatty liver can accept oral Chinese medicine treatment in the department of liver disease, and can also be combined with acupuncture and moxibustion catgut embedding, external application of penetrating medicine, infrared and ear points to form a "five in one" treatment, which can significantly improve the symptoms of fatigue, liver discomfort, abdominal distension, dull complexion, irregular menstruation, irritability, insomnia, dry mouth, bitter breath and bad breath caused by fatty liver, and reduce high transaminase, high blood fat, high uric acid, high blood sugar, etc. On the day of the free consultation, citizens who came to participate in the event were provided with liver elasticity ultrasound testing, traditional Chinese medicine specialty thread embedding for weight loss and fat reduction, and liver protection tea drinks such as Sanhua tea, Siye Sangen tea, and lipid-lowering Qingbu tea, helping citizens achieve happiness and health.
