Last weekend, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital welcomed four Polish colleagues to observe the precise and efficient use of Honghu by Dr. Li Huiwu, the chief orthopedic physician, on site ® Robot assisted completion of two total knee replacement surgeries. The surgical robot's powerful intraoperative assistance ability, intelligent navigation ability, precise registration effect, and precise and efficient surgery have left a deep impression on overseas peers.
Before the surgery, Li Huiwu developed a personalized surgical plan for the patient based on their physiological structure, using Honghu ® With the assistance of robots, both surgeries completed precise osteotomy within 20 minutes. After the surgery, Polish colleagues and Li Huiwu's team had in-depth exchanges on professional technologies such as surgical intelligent planning, bone registration algorithms, and soft tissue evaluation. Relying on the National Key Research and Development Plan of the 13th Five Year Plan, Li Huiwu, as the chief scientist, jointly applied for the development of the "Honghu" knee replacement surgical robot with minimally invasive technology, and successfully completed the transformation of innovative project achievements. This is the first and only orthopedic surgical robot in China to obtain NMPA, FDA, CE, and ANVISA certifications at the same time. Currently, it has passed the entry requirements of multiple overseas markets such as the United States, Europe, and Brazil, and has won the brand reputation of "China" brand high-end medical devices by going abroad. It has also aroused strong interest from colleagues both domestically and internationally due to its excellent product functions and clinical performance. Based on this, four orthopedic experts from Gdansk University Central Hospital in Poland took a 30 hour flight to Shanghai Ninth Hospital to observe swans up close ® Robot assisted TKA surgery, gaining a deep understanding of equipment operation points and practicing robot surgical skills.
Introduction by Li Huiwu, Honghu ® Robots are not only capable of performing routine surgeries, but also capable of handling high difficulty surgeries such as severe stiff knees, extraarticular deformities, and complex joint cases with internal fixation rods installed in the distal femur, achieving good results.
