According to online reports, Shanghai Line 26 has been planned as an urban connecting ring, and it is also the second subway ring line in Shanghai after Line 4 of the rail transit system. The total length of the line is about 77.87 kilometers, with a total of 56 stations. After completion, it will become the longest urban subway loop in China. As the "core protection ring", Line 4 of rail transit has a total length of 33.6 kilometers, with 26 stations and 6 A-type train formations.
