Be wary of "lychee disease"! Eating too much lychee, be careful of hypoglycemia
In summer, a large number of lychees are on the market, but eating too many lychees can easily lead to lychee disease. Litchi disease is a hypoglycemic disorder caused by excessive intake of lychees, which leads to excessive secretion of insulin. Mild symptoms may include palpitations, fatigue, dizziness, and sweating, while severe symptoms may include convulsions, coma, and even life-threatening symptoms. The doctor suggests avoiding eating lychees on an empty stomach as much as possible, and not eating more than 200 grams each time. Once symptoms of hypoglycemia appear, you can first eat candy, biscuits, etc. to alleviate them, and seek medical attention immediately in case of emergency.

Power outages in Vietnamese industrial parks, Vietnam's power crisis or impact on global industrial chains
Electricity is tight in many parts of Vietnam, especially in the northern provinces where industrial parks are concentrated. Starting from early June, some industrial parks experienced sudden power outages and factory production was temporarily interrupted. Vietnamese media reported that the parks where multinational corporations such as Canon factories are located have experienced 24-hour rotating power outages. Regarding this, Zhou Xuezhi, an assistant researcher at the Institute of World Economics and Politics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, analyzed that Vietnam is an important part of the global manufacturing industry chain. If there are problems in Vietnam, it may have a certain negative impact on the normal operation of the global industry chain. According to Bishop, Chief Economist of S&P Global Markets Financial Intelligence Asia Pacific, as Vietnam is growing into an industrialized economy, the overall impact of electricity supply on the economy will be much greater than ten or fifteen years ago. Therefore, Vietnam's economic prospects face greater challenges in the short term.
Nearly 30% of village doctors in the country are over 60 years old, why can't they retire?
Village doctor Wu Hua has come up with a plan. If the issue of not being able to use medical insurance reimbursement for outpatient visits in the village clinic this month cannot be solved, he will need to urge the county health department again.
Wu Hua is 57 years old and lives in a county in central and southern Henan province. In the late 1980s, Wu Hua, who had just graduated from junior high school, took over his uncle's job and became a barefoot doctor at the village medical station at that time. So far, Wu Hua has been working for 38 years. As he watched his three children pass the college entrance examination and his retirement approached, he became increasingly anxious about the treatment and security of village doctors.
Liu Hedang, Deputy Director of the Health Commission of Yiyang County, Henan Province, told reporters that in recent years, "hiring village doctors" has become a common solution in rural areas to address issues such as rural doctors being unable to pay "five insurances and one fund" and pension insurance benefits due to being outside of their official positions, and having no promotion channels. However, in actual recruitment, village doctors are often "stuck in the conditions".
Liu told the party that under normal circumstances, "township hiring for village use" needs to meet two "thresholds": first, the age limit for village doctors is under 45 years old; The second is to obtain professional qualifications as a practicing physician. The latter can be solved through training organized by higher-level medical and health institutions in the context of sufficient local job training funds, but the former is a rigid constraint related to the requirement of paying pension insurance premiums for at least 15 years.
According to the 2022 China Health Statistics Yearbook, nearly 80% of rural doctors in China were aged 45 and above in 2021. Among them, 34% are aged 45-54, 12.1% are aged 55-59, and 28.8% are aged 60 and above.
In 2021, only about 1/4 of village doctors in the age group met the recruitment requirements for "township recruitment for village use".
