From June 9th to 11th, Han Yijia, a descendant of the Shangpai from the Shanghai Peking Opera Theatre, will perform Shangpai plays "Yutangchun", "Da Tan Er", and "Han Mingfei" for three consecutive nights on the Tianchan Yifu stage in Shanghai. From July 6th to 8th, Han Yijia, a Shangpai Peking Opera performer, will also make an appearance at the Chang'an Grand Theater in Beijing. There will be six major performances in two cities, with famous artists including Xiao Runde, Xiao Runnian, Chen Shaoyun, Li Hongtu, Yan Qinggu, and Ling Ke joining in, making it a "group of heroes".

Han Yijia studied under the disciples Sun Mingzhu, Zhou Baisui, and Shang Huimin, personally passed down by Shang Xiaoyun, and was a disciple of the Shang sect for 18 years. "The Shangpai repertoire needs to be inherited, and Mr. Shang Xiaoyun's artistic belief in 'resolute determination' also needs to be passed down. Han Yijia hopes to inherit Shang Xiaoyun's performing arts spirit through the 'Three Layers of Lingge' special session, adhere to the pattern of 'regular workers wearing green clothes', and let the Shangpai Beijing Opera style continue to exist on stage for a long time.".

In 1917, Shang Xiaoyun made his first appearance on the Shanghai Tianchan stage and sang the entire version of "Yutang Spring". Two years later, he came to Shanghai with Yang Xiaolou and performed more than 90 consecutive times from early September to January of the following year. Among numerous plays, "Yutangchun" is one of the most popular. In 2007, Han Yijia studied "Yu Tang Chun" under Shang Huimin, the granddaughter of Shang Xiaoyun, and traveled back and forth between Wuhan and Shanghai for more than ten years to learn art. The old artist taught rigorously, and the anti yellow slow tempo in "The Female Rebellion" consisted of eight lines and was sung for ten minutes. Han Yijia studied it for a whole month, "and the teacher repeatedly emphasized that hard work should be done in daily life, and one should learn solidly from the beginning."

Shang Xiaoyun's representative work "Han Mingfei" has rarely been performed on stage in recent years. "Han Mingfei" has special significance for Han Yijia. When she was still studying at the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Opera, she not only studied the Zhang style blue clothes, but also performed martial arts plays like "Hujiazhuang". Having both literary and military skills broadened her acting career, but it left her confused for a long time and unable to choose her own direction. At that time, she saw Shang Xiaoyun's disciple Sun Mingzhu recording and matching "Han Mingfei" for Shang Xiaoyun, which attracted her. Shang Xiaoyun's singing style with a gentle tone combined with Sun Mingzhu's performance with a gentle tone. The Shangpai art of singing and dancing made Han Yijia suddenly enlightened and became a shining light on her career path.

In the past few years, Han Yijia has gradually learned the singing passages of "Han Mingfei" from the renowned Shangpai artists Zhou Baisui and Sun Mingzhu. This time, in order to reproduce the entire drama of "Han Mingfei", Han Yijia and her teacher have taken on the work of script compilation. She combined old recordings and performance records from 1957 with the memories passed down by the monk school to ultimately determine the six fold plays of "Depicting the Face," "Leaving Home," "Cold Palace," "Golden Palace," "Leaving the Palace Gate," and "Exiting the Frontier.". Among them, the first four folds are Peking Opera, and the last "Leaving the Palace Gate" and "Leaving the Frontier" are Kunqu Opera, preserving to the greatest extent the characteristic of Shang Xiaoyun's performance of "emphasizing both literature and dance, with Beijing and Kunqu performing on the same stage".

Han Yijia does not shy away from saying that the rehearsal of "Han Mingfei" is to face difficulties, but she is determined to start with "three layers of singing and singing", systematically collect, organize and explore Shangpai plays, and expand the existence and influence of Shangpai art.
