The 2023 Yangtze River Delta Akabela Music Competition Awards Ceremony and Champion Night Concert successfully concluded on the evening of July 9th at the Caohejing Conference Center in Xuhui District, Shanghai. This competition attracted numerous excellent Akabela teams from the Yangtze River Delta region to sign up and participate. They performed different styles of songs with beautiful pure human voices. After fierce competition, 34 teams advanced to the finals, including 22 middle-aged and young groups, 9 youth groups, and 3 music age groups. The competition gave birth to awards such as gold, silver, bronze, individual awards, and top, second, and third place awards. In the end, Kang Yuan won the Beatbox group championship, while WACappella Kid, Chasing Singer, and Shanghai Petrochemical Haishang GM&GF respectively won the youth group, middle-aged and young group, and music age group championships. At the award ceremony, the organizers also announced the establishment of the Yangtze River Delta Akabela Alliance.

Akabella, which uses pure human voice without instrumental accompaniment, has become a popular form of music performance in recent years. The Yangtze River Delta Akabera Music Competition is based on the previous Shanghai Akabera Music Competition, and has been upgraded in terms of categories, awards, and brand effects. It is currently one of the largest Akabera events in China, providing opportunities for excellent Akabera groups in the Yangtze River Delta region and even the whole country to exchange and learn from each other.

This competition has added a Beatbox group competition, where various skilled players use their unique skills to compete for the "king of microphones". The Wanted Vocal Orchestra, a young Akabela team from Taiwan, China, was loved and welcomed by Shanghai audiences. The team won the first Shanghai Akabela Competition in 2015 and gradually transformed from an amateur team to a professional team. At the award ceremony, they brought a special concert called "Champion's Night" to the live audience, using music to enhance emotions and sing for a better future.

This event also attracted representatives from numerous technology enterprises from Hongmeicao Development Park to participate, especially the cross-border integration of many metaverse industries with Akabela vocal music during the event, which became a distinctive feature of the award ceremony. On site, the Metaverse Industry Cultural Development Community was officially launched in this event, injecting new cultural vitality into the development of the Metaverse industry.

This event was jointly guided by the Shanghai Mass Art Museum, Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Museum, Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Museum, and Anhui Provincial Cultural Museum. It was organized by the Xuhui District Cultural and Tourism Bureau, the Hongmei Street Party Working Committee, and the Office of the Xuhui District People's Government in Shanghai. It was also supported by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Xuhui District People's Government and the Development Corporation of the Caohejing Emerging Technology Development Zone in Shanghai. It was organized by the Xuhui District Cultural Museum and SACC Shanghai Akabela Center, and co organized by the Choral Professional Committee of the Shanghai Musicians Association, the Popular Music Professional Committee of the Shanghai Musicians Association, and the Shanghai Akabela Alliance.
