The 31st National Book Trading Expo, co hosted by the National Press and Publication Administration, the People's Government of Shandong Province, and the People's Government of Jinan City, was held in Jinan City, Shandong Province from July 27th to 31st. The Shanghai delegation is organized by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Press and Publication, and the main publishing houses of Shanghai Century Publishing Group, Shanghai University Press Consortium, and Shanghai Social Science and Literature Press Consortium have made a collective appearance, comprehensively showcasing the publishing achievements of the Shanghai publishing industry in adhering to cultural confidence and self-improvement, promoting socialist core values, and other aspects in the past three years.
The main venue of this book fair has a total of 8 halls, with a total area of nearly 100000 square meters.Hall 4 and Hall 5 are exhibition areas for other provinces and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, as well as green printing exhibitions; Hall 1 and Hall 2 are dedicated to promoting sales for the benefit of the people and special exhibition areas for private book distribution enterprises; Hall 6 is an exhibition area for rural libraries, a non heritage cultural and creative research exhibition area, and an art book exhibition; Hall 7 and Hall 8 are standard exhibition areas for private book distribution enterprises.
The Shanghai delegation has subscribed to 80 booths, with a booth area of 720 square meters, which is the largest and largest booth in the provincial delegation hall. The exhibition area is based on the concept of open books, with a white main body adorned with bright red and dark gold wood grain as embellishments, creating a simple and elegant atmosphere. Based on the retail oriented characteristics of this year's Book Expo, the exhibition area has changed the traditional way of combining high bookshelves, booths, and chairs in the past Book Expo, and uniformly displayed and sold key publications of various societies in the form of three independent booths, enhancing the interaction and communication between participating books and readers, making the space more spacious, interactive, and flexible. The diverse functions of exhibitions such as boutique exhibitions, business negotiations, live streaming marketing, and coffee self-service have formed a new space for Shanghai publishing.
Shanghai Century Publishing Group's 20 publishing houses, 11 publishing houses from the Shanghai University Press Consortium, and 6 publishing houses from the Social Science and Culture Press Consortium have carefully prepared 5038 high-quality new books for exhibition, covering multiple fields such as theme publishing, social science, literature, art, ancient books, technology, education, children's, and life. These books highlight the spirit of the times, promote the main melody, and present the charm of Shanghai's "red culture, Shanghai style culture, and Jiangnan culture".

The heavyweight new book "Up and Down Five Thousand Years" of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Popularization by Children's Publishing House adopts a pre-sale model to meet readers.
In addition, the Shanghai delegation inherits the tradition of supporting the economic and cultural construction of the host city of the Book Expo. This year, it donated 250000 yuan worth of high-quality Shanghai edition books to the organizing committee of the Book Expo to support the promotion of reading activities for the whole population in Shandong Province.
