On July 13th, the 4th "Poly Summer" Shanghai International Children's Choir Festival opened at the Poly Grand Theatre in Shanghai. The choir festival has been successfully held three times since 2018. The theme of this year is "Singing to Connect Us and Our Childlike Hearts to Light up the World". Nearly 50 choirs from all over the country gathered in Shencheng, with over 2000 people participating in the grand event. The performance is still live streaming online, bringing wonderful enjoyment to tens of thousands of viewers.
On the evening of the 13th, the choir festival kicked off with the night, and a magnificent and distinctive water feature show first appeared, bringing an immersive audio-visual experience to the audience. The Chinese Dance Troupe of Shanghai Poly Grand Theatre performed "Song of Prosperity", offering the best wishes to the motherland in the form of dance. Changzheng Primary School and Shibei Middle School sang a duet called "Sing a Mountain Song for the Party to Listen to", expressing genuine affection. The opening ceremony was applauded by the Natural Voice Choir's "Endless Life", the Taizhou Philharmonic Choir's "Mountain and Sea Taizhou", the AB Choir's "Shining Tomorrow" at the Shanghai Poly Grand Theatre, and the "Carmen Overture" performed by the Shanghai Poly Grand Theatre Symphony Orchestra. All choirs participating in this year's choir festival sang "Childlike Hearts Like a Song" together, and the children waved bright flags, drawing a successful conclusion to the opening ceremony.

During the choir festival, a choir master camp was established, with Professor Theodora Pavlovich, Director of the Conducting Department of the Sofia National Conservatory of Music in Bulgaria and Vice Chairman of the World Choir Federation, and Przemysaw Pauka, Director of the Conducting Department of the Poznan College in Poland, serving as mentors to provide teaching guidance to choir members from various regions.
On the afternoon of the 13th, Pavlovich introduced the unique irregular beats and variations of Eastern European traditional music in class. Pavlovich gave high praise to the choir festival, stating that "this event provides children with a platform for showcasing themselves from multiple perspectives throughout the entire process, and also builds a bridge for cross-cultural communication supported by music.".

This choir festival will last for 4 days, with choir competitions held on the 14th and 15th. The closing ceremony and award ceremony will be held on the 16th at the Poly Grand Theatre in Shanghai.
