In 2022, Culture Wuzhen Co., Ltd. and China Academy of Fine Arts jointly launched the "Art Warehouse Wuzhen" of the Sculpture and Public Art School of China Academy of Fine Arts, a contemporary art institution that integrates culture, art, and tourism, to build a multi-dimensional sustainable development mechanism for contemporary art storage, exhibition, rental, and sales. The art warehouse regularly holds art exhibitions and invites domestic and foreign art schools to participate, creating a sustainable and effective art platform. The 2023 "Nomadic Seeds" Grain Warehouse Art Exhibition is the second exploration since the establishment of the Art Warehouse.

The exhibition follows last year's "Walking Environment" granary art exhibition, and the exhibition venue is still designated as the Wuzhen granary. The granary was originally the Wuzhen Grain Management Office in the 1960s. In 2017, it was renovated into a modern exhibition space with comprehensive functions, covering an area of nearly 10000 square meters and an exhibition hall area of 3500 square meters.

Chen Yu, General Manager of Culture Wuzhen Co., Ltd., stated that since its protection and development in 1999, Wuzhen has gone through a process from "sightseeing tour" and "vacation tour" to "cultural tourism". The 9th Wuzhen Drama Festival, the 2nd Wuzhen Contemporary Art Invitation Exhibition, and the Wuzhen International Future Visual Art Plan have deeply cultivated this, injecting art as a force into life. Fu Qiaoling, Vice Dean of China Academy of Fine Arts, said that action speaks louder than words. The cooperation between China Academy of Fine Arts and Cultural Wuzhen has helped students break down campus barriers and reach the public with their graduation works, which is very meaningful.
