The Golden Jubilee Award at the Shanghai International Film Festival has been unveiled, and the Best Actor is "Double Eggs"! Hu Ge Dapeng Wins "Best Actor" Dapeng | Actor | Hu Ge
On the evening of June 17th, the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival Golden Earl Awards ceremony was held at the Shanghai Grand Theatre. Under the careful evaluation of the jury led by Polish director, screenwriter, producer, and actor Jazz Skolimovski, each award was announced at the award ceremony. Among them, "Best Actor" has revealed "Double Eggs", and Chinese actors Hu Ge and Da Peng won the award respectively for their performances in "This Journey is Not Worth" and "The Eighth Suspect". The Japanese film "658 kilometers, Yoko's Journey" won three awards simultaneously, including "Best Picture", "Best Actress", and "Best Screenplay".
The 25th Shanghai International Film Festival Golden Earl Awards consist of five units: main competition, Asian newcomers, documentary, animated, and short films. During the two registration cycles, nearly 8800 works from 128 countries and regions participated in the award competition, and new works by famous directors gathered. The proportion of world and international premieres further increased.
Hu Ge and Dapeng's "Double Yellow Eggs"
That night, Hu Ge and Da Peng won the "Best Actor" award on the same stage, undoubtedly the "highlight moment" of the Golden Jue Awards. Interestingly, there was a small episode at the award ceremony where Da Peng and Hu Ge got their award certificates wrong the first time.
Hu Ge starred in "A Fair Trip", which was produced by Cao Baoping and written and directed by Liu Jiayin. The movie tells the story of an ordinary screenwriter named Wen Shan who falls behind and begins to make a living by writing eulogy. Through his encounters with various ordinary people, Wen Shan comforts others and gains warmth, ultimately finding his own direction in life. Hu Ge said, "I hope we are the same in artistic creation, never knowing when we will reach the summit, but always enjoying the process of climbing."
After expressing his gratitude to the director, Hu Ge quickly went to the media interview room and said, "Without Wen Shan, I wouldn't have received this honor. I didn't play much, so I completely entrusted myself to him. This was also my most profound experience. When an actor truly falls in love with a character, he can completely entrust himself to the character." He said, "At this moment, my family is watching a live broadcast, and I hope to watch this movie together when it is released. We will meet at the cinema on September 9th."
"The Eighth Suspect" was created based on the largest money robbery case since the founding of New China. This is the second film directed by Hong Kong director Li Zijun. At that time, Da Peng was a comedian. Zhang Songwen had just finished his performance in "Clouds Made by a Drizzle in the Wind", and Li Zijun unexpectedly chose Da Peng to play the mastermind of the robbery. Zhang Songwen became a diligent police officer. "A very powerful performance is my casting standard."

Da Peng was very emotional when he received the Jin Jue trophy. "This honor is very important to me. I am not a lucky person. It makes me believe that no matter how ordinary and unremarkable, there will always be a moment in life where you can be seen, and now is that moment." In the backstage interview room, a group of filmmakers appeared one after another, but it was not until Da Peng arrived. The award ceremony on stage was coming to an end, and just as everyone thought he wouldn't appear, Dapeng surprised the audience with his trophy, becoming the biggest Easter egg in the interview. He said he arrived late because he introduced the closing film "Passionate". "I have mainly been directing in recent years, but I also look forward to collaborating with other directors and making new breakthroughs as an actor."
"Not in vain" also won the "Best Director" award. Liu Jiayin said, "I am particularly grateful to the producer Cao Baoping. He is a very good director and screenwriter, and he is also a very good teacher. I was admitted to the film academy at the age of 18 and now at the age of 41. He has been supporting me at every stage of my life, keeping me in the right direction. After I finished writing the script, I went to find him, and it all happened later. Without Teacher Cao, this movie would not have happened." She also thanked the lead actor Hu Ge, "I am very jealous of you. I wrote this character, but I feel like you know a little more than me. You are an actor, the person we co created. If there is a face in this story, it is your face." Hu Ge said, "In reality, I also wrote a eulogy for my mother. Before playing this character, I thought the eulogy was a summary of a person's life. After playing it, I found that words really have the power to warm and heal people's hearts."
It is worth mentioning that three works by Chinese directors were nominated for the main competition unit at this year's Shanghai Film Festival. In addition to "A Fair Trip" and "The Eighth Suspect", Chen Shizhong's "Searching for Her" won the "Art Contribution Award". This is the only young director's debut work in the main competition unit of this year's Golden Earl Awards. Chen Shizhong was born in 1994 and graduated from the Vancouver Film Academy in Shanghai. This is his first feature film. "Seeking Her" tells a story that takes place in a southern rural area. After Chen Fengdi accidentally lost her daughter, she bravely pursued herself in the face of family questioning and societal prejudices, and gradually emerged from the predicament. The film was written and directed by Chen Shizhong, who admitted to reporters that when creating this story that takes place in rural Guangdong, the image of "Chen Fengdi" in his mind was originally Shu Qi.
Chen Shizhong, who held the Golden Earl in his hand, was full of energy. As a new director, he specifically asked during the photo shoot, "How do they usually pose?" He smiled and posed several times, deeply kissing the trophy. "This is a recognition for our entire crew, and I enjoy the creative process. Making movies is not a cost-effective thing. With so many people and so much time, it takes enough love to develop a script for a dream. This is not the work of the director alone, but the work of every staff member." He believed that in "Finding Her", the actors are the true soul of this movie. The characters are the core part of the movie.
91 year old director Yoko Yamada reappears on stage
That night, 91 year old Japanese director Yoji Yamada made another appearance on stage. Just the day before, he attended the film conference for his 90th career as a director, "Hello Mom". This film is one of the participating films in the main competition unit of the Golden Earl Awards, which premiered worldwide at the Film Festival. The character who plays the role of "mother" in the film is the familiar Japanese actress Yoshihiro Kobayashi from Chinese audiences. At the age of 78, she shines beautifully and elegantly in the film, as if age is just a decoration on her body.
"I have been to the Shanghai International Film Festival several times, and I feel very familiar." In 1995, Yoji Yamada participated in the second Shanghai International Film Festival, and many of his works were nominated for the Golden Earl Award or screened at the Shanghai Film Festival. He also won the Best Director Award.

On stage, Yoji Yamada recalled her relationship with director Xie Jin. After Xie Jin's death, he made a special trip to Shanghai to visit his family, and every time he came to Shanghai, he would also visit Xie Jin's tomb to pay homage. "Director Xie Jin is not only a film writer, but also a charming person. Because of him, I have been to many film festivals, and he is a filmmaker that I particularly miss." He said, "This may be my last time coming here to participate in a film festival." As soon as the words came to an end, there was thunderous applause at the scene.
This gray haired filmmaker dedicated his life to the film industry. "Director Yasujiro Ozu once said, 'I am a tofu maker. I can make things related to' tofu ', but not' meat patties'. This is of course a metaphor. Making movies is my profession, and I am also a tofu maker. This is my profession, my life. '"
"Hello Mom" tells the love story of an elderly person, and is known as the "Mother Trilogy" along with Yoko Yamada's previous "Mother" and "If We Live Together". "This work is different from the mothers that were filmed in the past." He said, "In fact, my mother has also experienced divorce and remarriage, just like in movies. During adolescence, my son would be entangled and opposed to his mother's love, experiencing pain. But later on, I realized that my mother is my father's wife, but also a woman, and experiencing love is a natural thing."
Another Japanese film, "658 kilometers, Yoko's Journey," won three consecutive awards: "Best Picture," "Best Actress," and "Best Screenplay.". The movie is directed by Osaka Ida Sina trendy director Kumaga Kazuka and features the original script from the award-winning "Niaoya Creator Program" in a well-known Japanese film project competition on the screen.
This is the second collaboration between Kikudi Rinko and Kumaga Kagami after 22 years since "Cave of the Void". As Kikudi's first film to stand alone, she challenges the road as a solo character of the same age as the characters in the film, portraying a lonely and helpless, self isolated soul struggling to save itself to the fullest. At the previous film meeting, Rinko Kikudi admitted that she, who is over 40 years old, shares some similar feelings with the character in the film, Yoko. "Middle aged actresses inevitably encounter some difficulties and truly experience the difficulties in their careers. With this opportunity to participate, I will learn as a newcomer. No matter what, we must strive to take a step forward, even small hopes can inspire us to move forward." After winning the Best Actress award, Rinko Kikudi immediately contacted her husband, "I want to share my excitement with him.".
The Best Documentary was won by "Anxiety Beirut", and director Zakaria Gable said, "As I said at the premiere, Shanghai was so far away from me before, and now Shanghai is like my home. I am very grateful to the Shanghai International Film Festival, it is difficult to express my excitement in words. I will dedicate my life to film production and filming, and I hope to see each and every one of you at the festival."
Zhao Jiaming, member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda, Zhang Quan, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, and Liu Duo, Deputy Mayor of Shanghai, attended the award ceremony.
