This year marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Song Qingling, Honorary President of the People's Republic of China. Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Research Association organized several domestic units to jointly carry out the research on the topic of "Soong Ching Ling and the CPC" and the important research achievement of historical data mining, "Chronicle of the History of Soong Ching Ling and the CPC", which was officially published by China Zhongfu Society Press recently.
On August 16th, the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Research Association, together with the Sun Yat sen Soong Ching Ling Cultural Relics Management Committee of Shanghai and the China Welfare Association, jointly held a new book launch ceremony and publishing symposium at the Friendship Hall of the Shanghai Exhibition Center.
Xue Chao, president of the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Research Association, introduced that the Chronicle of Soong Ching Ling and the CPC is a thematic chronological literature reference book that records Soong Ching Ling's firm belief in "staying with the party forever" within the framework of the party history. As one of the important achievements of the research on the subject of "Soong Ching Ling and the CPC", the book has accumulated the painstaking efforts of 21 research groups across the country after three years of efforts. It is an important attempt to achieve a breakthrough in the perspective of the study of the history of the Communist Party of China and the study of the new Chinese national history by focusing on Soong Ching Ling.
At the symposium, Li Hongxi, the second level inspector of the Seventh Research Department of the Institute of Party History and Documentation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Yan Aiyun, the director of the Party History Research Office of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Sheng Yonghua, the former deputy director and researcher of the Institute of Chinese Cultural Relics, Wu Jingping, professor of Fudan University, Xiong Yuezhi, the former vice president of the Chinese Historical Association, Yu Lan, the chief editor of the China Welfare Society Press, and Wang Weisong, the secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the CPC, expounded the unique academic, historical data value and significance of the book "Chronicle of Song Qingling and the History of the Communist Party of China" from many angles. In the process of book donation, representatives of seven research groups of "Soong Ching Ling and the CPC", including the Party History Research Office of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, the Shanghai Library, the China Welfare Association, the Memorial Hall of Sun Yat sen's Former Residence in Shanghai, the Memorial Hall of Soong Ching Ling's Former Residence in Shanghai, and the Management Office of Soong Ching Ling's Cemetery, accepted the book donation.
