The 2023 Magnolia International Music Festival Finals, hosted by Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, recently came to an end. Prior to this, multiple Chinese music themed concerts were held in a carnival format.

The organizing committee specially invited Liu Ying, Vice Dean of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, to lead a team, with performers and educators such as Gu Guanren, Tang Junqiao, Duan Aiai, Dai Xiaolian, Li Lingling, Wang Wei, Wei Wei, Wu Qiang, Zhang Tie, and Wang Yidong serving as the chairman of the evaluation committee for each professional group. They led over a hundred representatives of performers, educators, composers, conductors, and young and middle-aged backbone teachers in the teaching and performance front line of professional colleges to form the National Music Evaluation Committee.

During the finals, Liu Ying served as the artistic director and invited three generations of Chinese music masters, including Tai Dou, middle-aged and young performers, and young Chinese music players to jointly create multiple Chinese music themed concerts such as "Looking at the Ocean Tide", presenting a 7-hour Chinese music carnival concert. The repertoire covers traditional Chinese music and contemporary classics, and Shanghai Feiyun Ethnic Orchestra is invited as a concerto orchestra, with more participants than ever before. At the same time as the offline event, the concert will be simultaneously broadcasted on the global network.

The Magnolia International Music Festival was established in 2019 and is held regularly once a year. With the support of the Classic 947 Music Channel of Shanghai People's Broadcasting Station, Perth Music Group, Shanghai Gewei Instrument Trading Co., Ltd., Shanghai Ethnic Instrument Factory Co., Ltd., Shanghai Music Publishing House, and Shanghai Chuxin Weiai Charity Foundation, this music festival brings together musicians from major music schools both domestically and internationally, providing participants with a professional, authoritative, and high-quality integrated music expansion platform. After 4 years of development, the music festival has become a well-known brand event in China. At the beginning of the competition, the instrument used was only a single piano, but now the competition covers more than ten types of instruments. This film will document the migration journey of wild Asian elephant herds that began in 2020, presenting the habitat of wild elephant herds - the hidden scenery of Yunnan, China, and revealing the stories and little-known secrets between humans and wild elephants. The documentary film has a duration of approximately 90 minutes and is currently being produced in China using IMAX cameras. It is planned to be released in IMAX theaters in 2024.
