On the morning of August 18th, the annual outdoor cultural and tourism brand event "Shining Shanghai" 2023 Jing'an International Light and Shadow Festival was officially launched. Showcasing the Charming "Night Shanghai"

The Light and Shadow Art Theme Show is one of the highlights of the Light and Shadow Festival and a vivid interpretation of the "Art Su River" brand. The theme of this Light and Shadow Festival will be "Light and Shadow Night Shanghai", projecting brilliant light and shadow on landmark buildings such as Shenyuli in Wanxiang Tiandi, Tianhou Palace, Shanghai General Chamber of Commerce, and Shanghai Joy City, creating a night Shanghai style urban light and shadow atmosphere that highlights Shanghai's characteristics, and showcasing the charming "night on the sea".

Tang Hao, representative of the organizing committee of the 2023 Jing'an International Light and Shadow Festival, introduced that many influential cities around the world have their own unique light and shadow festivals. The SMG related team has created works such as the Pujiang Cross Strait Light and Shadow Show "Always Follow the Party" and the Shanghai Concert Hall's large-scale 3D mapping wall show "Story of Light and Sound". This Light and Shadow Festival will use the light of technology to illuminate the light of memory, art, ecology, and the future, vividly demonstrating the vibrant vitality of Suhe Bay in urban renewal.

In order to allow more artists to participate in the theme creation of the Festival and transfer cultural value with light and shadow art, in July this year, the Organizing Committee launched the Jing'an International Light and Shadow Art Competition, which solicited works from artists, designers, design and creative institutions and college groups around the world. Seventeen works were shortlisted, and the list will be officially announced on the official official account of "Shining Shanghai". The Tianhou Palace, built in 1884, is an ancient building in the style of a palace in Jiangnan. During the Light and Shadow Festival, SMG will collaborate with the Shanghai Fashion Industry Center to create the "Light and Shadow Fashion Season" in the Tianhou Palace, which will include immersive exhibition products "Fantasy Encounter", IMC Shanghai International Model Competition final and award ceremony, YOUNCORE sample shell release, designer works release, and more. Immersive exhibition products will attract more young people to check-in, allowing fashion life and traditional culture to complement each other.

At the same time, the Light and Shadow Festival will set up three themed blocks in new commercial complexes such as Wanxiang Tiandi and Joy City, including diverse themes such as fashion trends, sports and leisure, popular cuisine, music and games; In conjunction with Mid Autumn Festival, National Day and other events, theme days such as "Heartbeat, Together with the Motherland", "SMG Light and Shadow Fashion Night", and "20th Anniversary of Oriental TV" will also be planned. Jing'an is the pioneer and gathering place of Shanghai's headquarters economy, and the Suhewan functional zone has taken on the spillover and radiation effects of the Nanjing West Road agglomeration belt.
