On July 13th, accompanied by the heatwave of plum blossoms in Shanghai, the 18th China International Anime and Game Expo opened at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Hall. At each CCG EXPO, the biggest highlight is the debut, debut, and exhibition of anime and game works and derivatives. At this year's exhibition, domestic anime IPs welcomed new faces. On site, there were two major exhibition areas: Xuanji Technology's IP exhibition area and Ghost Knife themed art exhibition. In addition, statue exhibits and commemorative stamps were also brought. Miyou, the game player community of Miyou, also participated in the exhibition for the first time with the famous game Genshin Impact. During the exhibition, the Seven Saints Summon Water Friend Competition will be held, inviting players and spectators to compete on the spot. Internationally renowned game producer Chen Xinghan and his team participated in the exhibition for the first time with the peripheral brand "thatskyshop" of the game "Light Encounter", using carefully designed products as an extension of the game, bringing players back to the experience brought by the game.
Each exhibition is also a concentrated presentation of new technologies and new trends in the pan anime field. On the first day of the opening of CCG EXPO in 2023, a special "Virtual Idol Theme Day" will be held. More than 20 virtual idols from China, including Tui Ai, VOG, AFAER, Maoyou Society, Dongxuelian, and Lightyear Mythology, will appear in the exhibition hall together and interact with the on-site audience offline. In addition to SMG virtual host Shen Xiaoya, Dongfang TV's first hyper realistic digital virtual character "Dongfang Ai" will also make an appearance at the exhibition. In the large-scale immersive metaverse theater "1888 Monster Hunting Society" independently developed by Shanghai Wenguang Interactive Television Co., Ltd., the characters in the drama can even interact with visitors from the anime exhibition.

Anime game IP helps integrate culture and tourism
With the advent of the digital age, digital technology has deeply integrated and innovated with industries such as culture, tourism, entertainment, and commercial districts, expanding new scenarios, formats, and consumption of digital cultural tourism, forming an immersive cultural perception and "experience+new consumption" complex, promoting emerging consumer formats. "Anime games are becoming more and more limited to their own fields. We are seeing more and more cross-border cooperation, not only in derivatives, but also in the creation of deeper co branded products." Pu Yun said, "Digital cultural tourism" is an important theme of this exhibition. "The combination of anime games and cultural tourism is the trend, and many companies that were not originally in this industry are gradually entering the anime game field, bringing immersive experiences."
CCG EXPO will launch the "Digital Culture and Tourism Empowering New Consumption" themed exhibition in 2023, showcasing the new atmosphere of the digital culture and tourism industry around VR immersive interactive exploration, typical cases of IP empowering cultural and tourism consumption, and the transformation of traditional enterprise new formats. Entering the exhibition hall, immersive scenery installations bring the audience an immersive exploration experience exhibition of "The Disappearing Pharaoh"; The highly popular Chinese anime "Chinese Fantasy Tales" brings scenes from chapters of "The Summer of the Little Monster" and "The Snack Shop" to the scene, with details such as the embroidered ball lion and the lucky cat allowing people to shuttle back to the old alleys and immerse themselves in the bustling small shop; The co branded camping equipment of Black Cat Sheriff also appeared at the exhibition, allowing viewers to rediscover their childhood anime memories amidst the camping craze.

This year, the excitement of CCG EXPO is not limited to the exhibition hall. Outside the exhibition hall, the organizing committee also collaborated with Ouhua Culture and CGV Cinema to launch the "Animation Film Carnival 2023- Japanese Animation Film Exhibition". Nine animated films, including the "Pok é mon" series, "Lu Bang III" series, and "Crayon Shin chan" series, will be screened in five cinemas in Shanghai one after another, and the screening will continue until July 24th. In the second half of the year, the CCG EXPO organizing committee will also bring Chinese animated films to Japan to hold the "Chinese Animation Film Exhibition" in Japan, promoting cultural exchange between China and Japan.
